My Weekend At Foxwoods

I havn't been there since last year, so I had not seen the new poker room. It was pretty nice and the wait was great, pretty much walked in and got in a game and this is saturday night. Anyway, buy into the 300min-500max for $500. I keep almost even for a couple of hours when this hand comes up, mind you $500 is pretty much my bankroll for the weekend. I get pocket 55 in middle position, just call and four or five see the flop. The flop comes 652 rainbow. BB opens with $20 I raise to 45 and he reraised me to a 100. I call turn comes a J putting two spades on the floor. Without hesitations the guy goes allin, he has me covered. Now I got a big decision to make, put in the rest of my money and loose to a 34 or 66 or jj or fold. I turn my cards over showing him my cards, no reaction. At this point im going to fold it cause I'm pretty sure he got 34 since he was in the BB. But before I fold he goes lets make a deal, I got the Str8 but Ill give you $50 back if you fold. He didn't want to get sucked out on, I fold instantly and only loose $50. This hand brings me down to about $300 though. I go to dinner and come back win a few key pots including hitting a 3 outter on the river to make a nice $300 profit which covered my expenses for the weekend. Side note if you going to Foxwoods with your girlfriend word of advice stay at the Fox Trail Inn, which is the closest place to Foxwoods, like a mile away. Cost me $160 for saturday night but I'm telling you, your girl will love it, probably will lead to more poker playing time cause you can leave her there by herself and she will love it.peace.

Some places let you show your cards if you are heads-up.......

It's allowd in Foxwoods and common practice I might add, not sure what the rule is in other places.

Tournament you can't do this, cash game you usually can unless the house rules say otherwise.

foxwoods room is nice, but the table time is rediculus. In the 100 buy in nlhe game they take 5/player twice an hour. they are taking an entire buy in off the table every hour! f-ing rediculus. that being said the action is always so loose you can justify paying any juice.

I completely agree, this goes along with what the players in the WS are mad about. I was paying $6 bucks every half hour, why? Just becasue I'm playing higher I have to pay more. I think paying time all together is ridiclous, just rake the damn pot. I don't mind it when I win a pot for the house to take a couple of bucks out since I have won some money at that moment. But, when you havn't won a pot for a half hour or more and you start to pay time on top it sucks.
