Nothing angers me more than little food....except redheads, lefties, and people that give their pets human names. I know someone that named his dog "Todd". Actually, that one was kind of funny.

As someone who just moved to Chicago from Phoenix, I find this amusing. It is hot for sure...but I'm smug about having lived through 115 degree days.

We went out to lunch in SF once and I ordered a steak and the arrogant SF waiter asked me how I wanted it and I said Medium WellHe informed me that there was no such thingI was really close to saying - You F ing C-ocksucker - go back there and figure it out - it's a little past medium and a little short of well - I'm sure your cook can handle it

LMAO!It's not as bad this week. You were lucky enough to come during the hottest week I remember in quite some time. And speedz... I used to go to Phoenix every summer when my grandparents lived there... It's hot... But i'd rather be in the 115 there than 90 something here. Unless you have metal seatbelts... OUCH! Cars + Phoenix Summers = -EV

Oh... Forgot who it was who mentioned it...But Mon Ami Gabi is decent... but there are FAR FAR Superior places to get french food in this city. It's a good reasonably priced alternative though. As is Bistro Margot on Wells in Old Town. But they aren't the super classy french places that you could get if you wanted. (Never been to one of those)

I've eaten there about 7 times. (linkin park, oak brook and vegas) and have only had the filet. I can't say how it compares to other french restaurants but it's as good of a steak i've ever had and very very reasonable.

That's not really judging the French food though. You can get a Filet all over the place. So I wouldn't really say it's good for french food if you haven't actually had the french food.

Good point, but i've been with people who have ordered other items and haven't heard anything but good comments. Have you eaten at Naha?

Never been to Naha. And when I did eat at Mon Ami... I did like it too. Not saying it's bad. Just that if he wants some top of the line stuff, it's probably not the right place. Still very good though.

If you want Chicago Stuffed pizza, go to Giandano's ( sp?!?) in down town chicago.
Giordano's isn't the best pizza... it's up there, but not the best.Try Lou Malnatti's or Gino's East.Charlie Trotters is generally ranked at the top every year. It's in Lincoln Park.Probably 125-150 a plate here too. Changing menu as well. Never been though. But there are a lot of very good places. http://www.metromix.comIf you want to check a place out, search for it there. It's everything in Chicago basically.
Giordano's is pretty good but I am pretty sick of it since there's a ton of them right by me. Lou Malnatti's has excellent beer crust pizza and Gino's East deep dish is the best pizza ever.

wow, I can't believe that no one has mentioned bob chin's crabhouse at all, rather sad to be honest. Hanguk, here's your late night drunken stop for food, The Weiner's Circle on N Clark. Be sure to go there after 1 am, the service is trully one of a kind

Just don't order a hot dog with ketchup. It's against the law in Cook County.
