Best show:Good Eats. Alton Brown is a genius. I plan on watching Feasting on Asphalt as well.Worst Show:Barefoot Contessa. Ina Garten sucks and her husband strikes me as a potential serial killer. Most Annoying:Emeril Live and Essence of Emeril. His voice grates on me to no end.

Agreed
Worst Show:Iron Chef...almost unwatchable
You're on drugs..(understand I'm talking about the new American Version...the Japanese version is pure gold)

Agreed on the Rachel Rae, however, I think she's the hottest girl on there. Her look is exactly my type...plus she's a gormet chef.
Bon Appetite!burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp...

You're all a bit crazy me thinks.Yes Alton is annoying, but some good advice/recipes along the way. But generally, I don't stop to watch his show.Iron Chef is good stuff. Old school is better, but the new one is decent. Rachel Ray... Annoying, but I find myself drawn to it regardless. Don't know why.Ina Garten is nowhere near as bad as Paula Dean... That god damned accent is the most annoying thing I've ever heard!! or should I say... Heeeerd! From my home tah yerrrrs! SO ANNOYING!!Giada Is hot, but her nose could use some work. They rarely show it from the side... and trust me, there's a reason.Best Show(s): Anything with Bobby Flay... AINEC!! He is the man!!!

As an ex-chef I gotta say that Alton Browns show is very good. He goes into great detail of how a dish is prepared and the science behind it. Very educational and entertaining(to me).Original Iron Chef is "gold". Emeril is blah. Good food, annoying show.Bobby Flay is a tool but good food.Rachel Ray is a little troll but as someone said, hard to turn it off.

Oh man i absolutely love the food network. Favorite show of mine is olivers twist it only comes on at like four in the morning on saturdays though. Malto mario is pretty good, and emeril live is classic. The throwdown with bobby flay is not too bad either. I think the shows I like display more on the chefs passion, they arent the most exciting, so i can understand when people dont like the before mentioned shows.Other good mentionsHam on the streetIron ChefGood Eats (alton's knowledge of the science of food is quite amazing)Boy meets GrillUnwrapped.

oliver twist is pretty good but always on late on friday nites. It depends on what alton brown is talking about. If it is something that you are interested in then it is very good otherwise dont bother. I also like Ham on the street. Pretty off the wall but kinda interesting. one of my more favorite shows of the past though was how to boil water. I really liked that show. Was pretty basic cooking but the guy was hilarious and the chef that was assisting him was a very good side kick to his humor.

best show is Good Eats hands down - the original poster has NO CLUE.second of all: rachel ray is smoking hot and so is everyday italian but her smile creeps me outthird of all: emeril live is crap - and just if anyone i wondering i think he has social anxiety disorder and has real issues with doing that show (although it might have been gossip/rumor that isnt true) --- essence is decent

GROSSSSSSSSSSSS. Rachel Ray is awful.I do agree with you about Emeril though; he stares at his audience like he hates them and talks to them like they are retarded, and they respond by clapping and cheering everytime he uses spices or garlic. BAM!And old-school Iron Chef is awesome, this is an indisputable fact.

Good Eats is gold. I love Alton Brown. I can't stand Rachel Ray... she is way too perky and she grates on my nerves. I miss the show Taste. I am not sure if any of you remember it but it was one of the first shows on Food Tv. David Rosengarten was the host. He is a food and wine critic and even though he is not a certified chef, his show was similar to Alton Brown's because he would go into the history and science of a certain food. Plus, I thought he was hot. I saw him at a book signing event several years ago when he released the book Taste. He was so genuine and nice and really connected with everyone. top_05.gif

Did Taste have a kind of bare bones set with a map on the back wall?

I'll tell you why... Because she usually wears those low cut v neck tops and it seems like those perky little, well you know, are about to pop out. And baby's got back...mmm, mmm, baby's got back.l1904278.jpgAnd, I'd bet my last dollar she could suck a golf ball through a 100 foot garden hose. And, I have proof.dining-0615.jpgAlton Brown is an awesome instructional cook and Bobby Flay is the man.Emeril was good in the beginning, but his sthick is getting a little old.
