hi I never played in mcphillips street station. I have played at club regent four times now over my various trips to winnipeg. as of last time I left.. which was about at least two months ago now. it is a small room five poker tables if i recall.the blinds are 3/6, 4/8, 5/10. they do attempt to start a higher ranked table 10/20 table but no one goes for it. (at least in my visits ) the last two times there was an empty table and i tried to ask for a sit and go and the floor person told me that they dont' do that. there is usally a normal waiting list ?(never been in any other casino ) there was talk about starting a 1/2 no limit table in the months to come. I don't know how that went as I haven't been there recently. It was good for I got a free drink on the house now and then.from what i can tell based on loose and such.. i seen half the people lose their bankroll and invest another 50 to an hundred .. once twice . I did see an fellow native sit down and raise and reraise every hand,, as a tight rock i called him a maniac and just wait til i get a good hand then I reraise you back. but it didnt' happen for someone asked him if he wanted to move to another table and he said yes. I think we were both happy at that. (that was probaly out of line equitte style wasnt' it ? ) anyhow that is my experience of club regent. the security card told me ben affleck played down there while jennifer lopez at the time made a movie there.. and they kicked out shannen that girl from charmed at the beginning, and 90210 for she was too drunk. of course that could be just security guard legend.

I just got back from Club Regent. They only had 3/6 and 4/8 going while I was there. Typically, there would be about 4-6 to the flop, and at least 2 to the river. I didn't see anybody who really knew what they were doing. I didn't stay long enough to make any profit because my buddy lost all of his money at blackjack. And he was my ride home.

Hi there. The place near Osborne is called Barca Club. I went there last night for the first time to try one of their tourneys. It was a $5 buy-in and then unlimited rebuys for the first 40 mins. It was an all-in fest to say the least. I don't think I will try those again, but on Tues, Wed, Thurs they have a $35 buy in for a no limit freeze tournament, I think that would be a lot better. It includes supper as well. Check out their site for more info. I will definitely go back as the people there are really nice, just not a big fan of the all-in type of play...total crapshoot. I did place in the money so am not complaining, just not my style of poker.http://www.barcapoker.com
