Anyone else care to take a guess at Daniel's cards when he doubled up Chan? My guess is that he had a 3 (for trips) but I'm not sure about the kicker. Since he was raising on the button he could have just about any hand. Could 53, 43, A3, maybe even 93, 83, or 32 for a worse full house. An overpair or 22 is possible but I'd guess more like Queen-three suited. Also I could be wrong about this but aren't you required to show your hand in that situation. I'm looking at the TDA rules (http://www.pokertda.com/ ) and #9 is "All cards will be turned face up once a player is all in and all action is complete." I know if they got all-in on the turn they'd have to show but does that not apply if there are no more cards to come.

Thanks for the update Daniel. If Pham and you both end up at the final table can you still win the POY award mathematically speaking? As for Daniel's hole cards my guess is he had suited connectors of some sort or an Ace-x. Maybe he picked up a straight or flush draw, *shrug* no clue :D

Now i watched him play a hand similar to this in the tournament of champions. It was against Lederer and he made 2-pair, raised. Now with this one, it was somewhat a similar situation, but the way the hand started, he most likely had the best of it to start with no scare cards like in the tournament of champions...That is why it made it as far as it did. So based on what i read and what he was playing, my money would be on 7-3 suited, trips drawing to the flush

Since we are taking guesses on Daniel's hole cards...I say he had an overpair. Just a guessWith his overpair, I think Daniel knew that he was beat when Chan reraised him on the turn. But did not properly fold his over pair. I do not think he had a 3 because he made a flop bet about the size of the pot. If Daniel had a 3, his flop bet would have been smaller than the size of the pot or a check. Plus if Daniel had a 3, I again believe his raise on the turn to Chan would not have been a huge 60k.The way the betting went...It is highly unlikely that Daniel had a 3!Just my opinion.....but..if I was Chan..i would put Daniel on overpair. No matter what Daniel had..Lets say he had AA..It seems like he knew on the turn, he was beat badly and did not fold.Don't get down on yourself Daniel..Go get em. It's like a bump in a road. But that should not stop you from getting to your destination.

Is it just me or is a 3 not enough to call Chan's all in? Either Chan is bluffing or he has the 3 beat, IMO. If Daniel thinks Chan is bluffing he could have had a very small hand. If Daniel doesn't think he is bluffing then there isn't a great range of hands he can call with. I don't think that range includes A3. My guess: Daniel had Chan on a total bluff and called with a very modest hand.
