ForRealDD 0
Thanks.I really wish they wouldn't have done that to the final table. At the bare minimum they should have made it all LHE if they wanted holdem so bad. They are switching to NL at the FT for the action, and it makes better TV than ridiculously deep stacked limit holdem . IMO it's a brilliant idea...
tobytobey 0
Card player has the field at 152 players. Only $7.6 million in buy-ins, of which the WSOP is taking 4% $304,000.

FourFlusher 0
Any body else see anything a little silly in this statement?:Players are seated and cards have been dealt for event #20, the first annual $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. tournament. Entry is sure to be poker star-studded and some amazing poker will be seen at these tables. If the players are seated and the cards in the air, seems like the line up would be known. Is Jerry playing the HORSE event? Smokewagons 0
They are switching to NL at the FT for the action, and it makes better TV than ridiculously deep stacked limit holdem . IMO it's a brilliant idea...May be better for TV but it's not true to the tournament. Youre introducing a new game to a final table of players who made that final table playing other games. Lets just make all final tables NLHE. PLO, O8, Stud, who cares what games they were playing to make the final table we'll just change it at the final table for better tv. FourFlusher 0
I think it's pretty lame. They should dance with who brung'em.Why not have them throw darts for the final, then ESPN could tie it in with their World Series of Darts that will be shown before the WSOP?

ForRealDD 0
I'm pretty sure this format was suggested by the committee of top players and TDs .....So if you aggree it will make good TV, and the players wanted it....who is left to complain about it?

Bloch then proceeds to go through the deck and bend all of the cards he believes to be marked. The floorman tells Andy, "Don't you dare do that again." Andy stands up in protest and gives the floor man a lashing for allowing a used deck to begin play in the H.O.R.S.E. event. The floorman warns Andy that if he doesn't calm down or if he bends anymore cards, Andy will be given a 10 minute penalty. Andy then tells the floor man, "Go ahead, give me a penalty...I'm going to call the Gaming Commission on you. You don't start a tournament with marked cards!" After expressing his concern, Andy wallks away from the table and takes his punishment like a man. Geeze, even live poker is rigged.

myenemy 0
Que? Yes , they consistently played different games....doesn't this fit ?I sort of agree with this sentiment I know everyone hates the NLH FT, and I hate appeasing the TV as much as the next fish, but in the spirit of the game, I think it fits well. They've been tested at every other game, now they test at no limit. You cant have no limit in a rotation, it'd throw the other games off too much but how can you have an 'all-around' tourney without including NL? I like it. I'd just like to see some of the HORSE play (hee-hee) on TV too.

Alex916F 0
Annie Duke Not Given A TimeoutAnnie Duke just found a marked 5 card on table 149. She proceeded to bend the corner and ask for a new setup. After hearing that Andy Bloch was given a penalty for it, she expressed her concern for how ridiculous it was to punish someone who had not dropped the F-bomb. She believes that the player has a right to take those marked cards out of play, otherwise the casino would just recycle them back into play.crazy....
tobytobey 0
Either 12 people have already busted or Card Player employees can't count. They now show the total number of entrants at 140 from 152 previously.Or maybe, there were 12 jerry's playing??????????????//
