webber286 0
Taking an informal poll to see if the money game (not tournament style) players out there prefer to have denominations on their poker chips or not.
KONGOS 0
I play various limits with friends, depending on who's playing that night so I like having the chips plain so that I can change colors/denominations regularly. I also have tourneys somewhat regularly, so denominations don't work for that reason as well (cash games & tourneys).
KappaKid83 0
I have a couple sets. One is just for tournies and the othe is for cash games. I like to have denominations on them, just my preference, makes it feel more like a casino I guess.JEFF
yergan 0
It also depends on who you are playing with. I have one group of (donkey) friends who have trouble keeping track of what each chip is worth, especially once they start drinking.Others, who are regulars in the game, have no problem at all. webber286 0
Some fair points being made. What about the more experienced people who play cash games at casinos. Do they use denominations? I'm told from someone in the industry that they do use denominations for cash games.
Actuary 3
I prefer Buddhist chips over Jewish ones, if that helps.
No_Neck 0
I have no domination, they are the ones that came with camel lights a little while ago. Yea I have 2000 of them LOL.hijack, if you were going to have a 1/2 NL regularly would you just get $1, $5 or do you think you should get some $10s and $20's too.

I like to have denominations on them, just my preference, makes it feel more like a casino I guess. That pretty much sums up my take. I have two different sets, although we occasionally use the ones with denominations for tournaments as well, depending on the structure. We have a lot of new people come through on a week-to-week basis, and they seem to appreciate not having to worry about what each is worth.
RuntCake 0
I sold chips for a while and while many newer people asked for chips with values on them the "experienced" group like them without. My 11.5 grams were 50/50 with and without and my "executive" sets were all without.
Balloon guy 158
I prefer Buddhist chips over Jewish ones, if that helps. The anti-semitism overtones are so obvious in this website. But those Jewish chips do cost more
