The initial raiser folds to him and flips 10-7 offsuit, Kid Poker's favorite hand. Negreanu flashes K-Q offsuit and takes down the pot. He has currently pushed all-in on five consecutive hands. He has on re-buy as well at this point. Isabelle Mercier is seated at Negreanu's table and is getting a good laugh from Negreanu's super-aggressive early strategy. Daniel (Re-Buy Madman) Negreanu

How can there be that much money on the table? Someone would have to buy in a bunch of times in order to get enough money to build a stack like this so early.Oh wait, I get it.......

how so?
I think they take a percentage of the prize pool, not just the original buyins. They don't have the blind structures up on worldseriesofpoker.com anymore, so I can't be certain, but I'm pretty sure it says, "x% of the total prize pool will be witheld."

that still doesn't help the casino. rebuys help the players that are willing to make a ton of rebuys, and hurts the players are aren't. if the casino makes it a $5000 entry, or a $1000 entry with rebuys. whats the difference? the players that have the money to spend will spend it. they get a standard percentage of the prize pool either way.

Actually, they take a smaller % from larger buyin tourneys, and vice-versa.

See, I don't agree with that. Sure, the player who rebuys 27 times has a much better chance of winning the tourniment, but 27 rebuys has to be -EV.. it "helps " ion the sense it increases the chances of winning , but rediculous amounts of rebuying has to hurt you..

well, the point was i disagreed with was that rebuys only benefit the casinoi still disagreei believe it helps the players willing to rebuy multiple times because it leaves a ton of chips on their table. so even if they end up below average at the end of the rebuy period, they have a great chance to build up a big stack due to the amount of chips on their table.i think it hurts the player that doesn't/is unwilling to rebuy multiple times because they are likely to end up very shortstacked early in the tournament.
