How cool is that? Now the million dollar question: would you have put in the 3-bet at the river with the A-high flush?

Actually, isn't it a ten dollars and fifty four cents question? No way, I would have been afraid that you were holding the ONLY TWO possible cards that could beat me... :club: congrats on the hand, nice to be able to play it to a showdown, too.

Here's my best straight flush story. I was playing live 1/2 no limit, it was raised to 10 preflop with like five callers, and i called with theQ :club: J :D out of the small blind. Flop comes K :D 10 :D 9 :). I check, as does everyone else to the button, who bets 25. I smooth call, and everyone else folds. Turn blank, i check and so does he. River is a king, i bet out 25 he raises another 25, and I put him all in for another 150 or so. He calls, and had 99 for the rivered boat. Flopping a straight flush is hard enough, and geting paid on it is even harder, so congrats to the op.

My straight flush story:In the BB with 34 of hearts. UTG makes it 3X the BB, I call with 2 other players. Flop 2 5 6 all hearts. Check check, UTG bets about the pot, SB calls, I call as well.Turn K, Check by the SB, 2/3 pot size bet by UTG, SB folds, I call.River K of hearts, I bet about 1/3 of the pot, UTG goes all in, I insta-call.He turns up KK for 4 kings, I show the straight flush. This was on my dorm floor freshman year and wasn't for a lot of money, but I'm sure neither one of us will ever forget that hand.

Now the million dollar question: would you have put in the 3-bet at the river with the A-high flush? nope, i woulda just automatically given you credit for the str8 flush considering your one of the 1% of PL25 players who would only raise with the str8 flush

Actuary...come on, you're better than this...
I think he was making fun of the fact that the other guy used "your" instead of "you're" so he used "you're" instead of "your".I also think Actuary is going through a painful divorce and getting bitter with life.

Cards and made hands no longer excite me this much. I remember when they did. I pooped a little when I rivered my first straight flush at the Bicycle and got a guy to call my raise at the 2/4 table. Now I get more excited when I pull off sickening bluffs, surgical bets, vomit inducing calls, and fillmaffian folds against an opponent that I have a great read on.
