Tritz 1
N.J. Supreme Court Says Casinos Are to CloseJudge Denies Atlantic City's Casinos Request to Stay OpenThe New Jersery Supreme Court denied a request by Atlantic City's casinos to stay open past 8 a.m. tomorrow and unless state lawmakers come to a budget compromise sometime today (July 4), the casinos will have to abide by a Casino Control Commission decision and close their doors until a new budget is worked out.The budget impasse has caused all services and government offices in New Jersey to close, including the Casino Control Commission, which regulates the state's 12 Atlantic City casinos. The Commission ordered that the casinos be closed Wednesday because Commission employees will no longer be working past that date. Since there will be no one available to watch over the casinos, the casinos must be closed, says the Commission. The judge agreed. The Borgata Summer Open was scheduled to start at 10 a.m. tomorrow. The series is scheduled to go just about the entire month of July (the championshiop ends July 20). It's not yet known it the Borgata will make up the events that will take place during the shutdown or if the casino will simply pick up where the schedule left off when the lawmakers finally pass a new budget.Lawmakers were ordered to Trenton today and will stay in the statehouse until a budget is passed.Yes I am aware that the casino, judges, and New Jersey are rigged and they all can see the flop before hand.....Chuck Norris can see the flop before it happens.
