Randy Reed 0
I once made a post here a long time ago about getting drunk and waking up with $1.00. I played limit with it until I got it up to about $65 when I posted, by slowing moving up in limits and grinding. It took a while but it can be done. I've still never re-deposited except for bonuses and such.
fleung22 1
Kurt, sorry to hear that.OP, just keep pluggin' away or bang 100 fat chicks at $50 a pop or 10 REALLY fat chicks at $500 a pop. Hey, fat chicks need love too...but they gotta pay! Giggity! B) I've been fortunate to only have busted once when I first played online for $50 but since then I can't say I've been successful without massive swings and help. I was having the nastiest run for almost 3 months and then my pro buddy deposited a very healthy amount of cash into my account even though I wasn't broke yet.He said that a low bankroll is the same as scared money and I literally banged out 92 BB that very day and have been doing fine ever since.I think having a good friend or nucleus of friends who understand the ups and downs of poker is important. Whether it be a debate, an ear or a loan it's pretty damn valuable IMO.
timwakefield 68
exactly.so he's even a bigger idiot than I would ever be.I play with money that would be easily replaceable, yet still play way overrolled.no offense to idiots.Nah, my point was that if you play for your rent money I think you are MORE likely to play above your limits, go on massive tilt, etc. If it's just for fun / extra cash, you can handle the swings more easily IMO. P.S. I wasn't looking for sympathy, I was just telling the OP that he wasn't alone in losing large chunks. I don't think OP or any of the other posters in this thread are looking for sympathy. But it makes you feel better to know that other solid players can go on massive downstreaks too.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! A masssssssssive roach just waddled across the kitchen floor. Goddamit, I just moved into this apartment last weekend, and was just saying to my girlfiend last night how few bugs there are here compared to most city apartments. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I crushed the motherfucker, but I'm afraid that he might have friends.

nachunja 0
wow, i have read all the comments and i am really touched by all the replies and the thoughts you guys put in to it.i wasnt looking for some cheap sympathy but really looking for some advice on how to bounce back to my life. I feel like crap these past few weeks and did lots of things to try to help it. but not many worked. i've went broke numerous times but by far, this is the biggest break. i just cashed out the last 5% which was around 200~300 bucks and thinking of just buying stuff for myself. Mostly good food to revitalize.it has been really hard for me to control myself in terms of bankroll management because its so easy to lose my cool when im by myself. im talking to myself, **** **** **** and get so angry when i play. my plan is to stop playing poker until im 19, which is in 6 month. i will just be studying theories and reading pretty much every book out there. educate myself and earn money for my future bankroll. the day i turn 19, i will be grinding at 5/10 or 10/20 in casinos in Niagara Falls. From what i've heard, those games are like 2/4 in Party. is that true?these days future looks pretty darn dark for me. not just poker but living life in general. tough times. so sad having such a depression at my age. i dont know if i should blame this to poker or my inablility to understand what i can do and what i cant do. i really appreciate your comments and i would be delighted to hear more from you guys. ColeSLaw 0
so he's even a bigger idiot than I would ever be.no offense to idiots.I doubt you would say this to someone in the OP's position in person, so why be an e-*******?Losing your roll is punishment enough for poor management, no need to kick someone when he's down. Zach6668 513
Haven't read replies >>>Nachunja,I thought you learned your lesson last year about playing out of your bankroll? From now, you have to do what you can and rebuild man. Either put in a ton of hands at lower limits to build up, with rakeback and bonuses, or quit, I suppose.I've lost my roll a couple time due to retardation. Never anything overly significant, but enough for me to be pissed about it.Good luck.- Zach

Actuary 3
Wow you're in a mood today Actuary...Mood?Why can't I just get credit for being an asshole sometimes!seriously, more to respond to and the thruth is getting clearer...********************Nah, my point was that if you play for your rent money I think you are MORE likely to play above your limits, go on massive tilt, etc.yes, I understand how extra stress and need for cash would lead a undisciplined person to tilt. Whereas someone playing for fun and burrito $$$ can be more relaxed. But that person playing for rent should understand his psyche before trying this for his supper and rent... mtdesmoines 3
wow people are dropping like flys, what is going on?June has been unreal. A ***** ***** *****. NO NO NO NO cards at all. If you need documentation, I don't have it, but I estimate 30,000 hands with three pairs of aces. I catch a pair on the flop about once every three hours.I've been all in 15 times -- before last night, I was ahead at the turn 13, snapped 13. I did finally have a pair of queens hold up last night, so that is now 16/14/13. It's improvement. I've bubbled off the money by one or two positions in 12 of 13 tournaments. If it's bad luck you're looking for, I've had it all.If I hadn't been cautious, or had gone into steam mode, I hate to think how much I would have lost in June. Last night, after playing three hours with one legitimate hand in 1/2 NL, I went to 3-6, and it's turning around. I doubled up and left. Baby steps.
Mercury69 3
It's OK, dude, it's only money and you can't "take it with you". Try and regroup your spirits and start again, but small. You'll be fine!
