stevedar 0
I don't think it would run on that computer...you selected 2 agp cards and from what I see that cheapo computer has zero agp slots. You would need a computer with a normal graphics slot for one card, and run a pci card for the other one. There are probably motherboards that have two agp slots but would probably be more expensive.http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1140392808146that computer would probably workthen you would need one pci express video card and one pci card...there could be better ways of doing this but from what you picked I see you're cheap/poor
oldirtyharry 0
Yeah still have 6 months left of school so I am trying to do this is cheap as possible.
stevedar 0
the harder part in my opinion is getting the software set up right...then again if you but it all at bestbuy you could probably get their nerds to set it up since they like odd requests
offset 0
I'm also thinking about dual monitoring. What kind of (cheap) graphics card would I need to pull that off. I have a Dell Dimension 8200.

Does this mean I need to get 4 cards?
stevedar 0
pci and pci express are different so you'll have to buy two seperate types of card...pci express is the new standard and should be easy to find...dual head pci exist though...you should only need two cards...you could use 1 but that would be more expensive
oldirtyharry 0
I see. So I Should be looking for PCI and PCI express cards with dual VGA outputs?
oldirtyharry 0
Still havins some trouble tryin to figure out the video card situation. Basically I need the two video cards, but they have to both be dual VGA's? That way I hook up two monitors to each PCI video card? Could I just get two of These?

Entrepeneur 0
Any ideas about this sort of thing for a MAC.I've got a Powerbook G4 (just the 1.67 ghz..not the new Motorola)...I've got an old 21" connected (laptop monitor and the 21", but I've got another 21" that would be great to hook up).I'm a music producer and working in Pro Tools and Finale and it would be great to have access to 2 external 21" monitors plus the laptop screen. Looks like this is for PC.Thoughts.. http://www.matrox.com/mga/offhome/th2go/home.cfmyour welcome

Build you a better machine for less money or B. Set you up with a Pre Built Machine with the needed graphic cards to accomplish what you are looking to do.Anyone else looking for a decent PC at a decent price should look around for prebuilt Acer Desktops, in my opinion they are an excellent value and come with 1 year onsite warranty
