How lame is it that they are only taping Hold 'Em events to televise with the exception of HORSE and one PLO event. No Stud, H/L, or Triple Draw events!? I know the craze is Hold 'Em, but come on, at least attempt to expand people's horizons. It's gonna get old watching the WSOP on TV if it's Hold 'Em event after Hold 'Em.If anyone has a link that shows otherwise, please let us know!WSOP TV Schedule

they dont care about expanding horizons, espn just wants to make straight cash. the best way they can do that is by showing hold em, no newb wants to sit there and watch 7 card stud hi/lo when they dont even know how to play texas hold em

Yes I'm pritty sure they do, they did this for when chan won his 10th, even though they were to slow and could only tape them being heads up.

That is pretty lame, don't forget there prolly will be like 1 Limit or PL Hold 'em shown, still not saying much tho. They really need to do like a multi-episode coverage of the HORSE event...sigh. :club:

and the horse event doesnt really count because the final table will just be nl holdem.
WTF I never knew the HORSE event was going to be a NLHE final table. That blows! We wont be able to see any action at the WSOP except for Hold'em.Its not that I hate NLHE, but I would like to watch other games. When they showed the Razz event like 2 yrs ago it was great! That whole taping that year was great. :club:

The first year I actually watched the whole WSOP(wasn't into online updates and such) it was nice to see who was going into the Main event with some momentum, now that's over. But I keep updated on the internet now so I know anyways.

You can't show 8 or better games, pot limit omaha is confusing enough for the average TV viewer. Wait how is he a favorite over his set with a draw? 3 from the board, 2 from your hand? He made it $350 preflop the pot only has $150 in it? Now imagine trying to explain stud8 or o8. What, he got a sixth of a pot? They'd have to spend like 10 minutes going over the rules and then show the big pots be chopped. I would still like them to show the $1500 plo event, since the only non-hold'em event they are showing is the $10k omaha event and last year the pot limit omaha events had such great fields. I am actually happy the limit hold'em events are not going to be aired. Last year, they were so boring to watch.

I don't even know that. Before I started playing poker (halfway) seriously I watched WSOP on TV and I thought the non-NLHE-events like Kansas City Lowball were very interesting. In my opinion it is especially bad that they don't even show a Limit-HE final table.

Contact ESPN TV I sent a note to them asking for wider coverage. It won't likely change much for this year's schedule, but if enough people express displeasure in the current schedule, maybe they will look into expanding it for the 2007 series. We have a large forum of poker enthusiasts, and I think if even 25% of all forum members sent in a request to change it, we could be enjoying a variety of games covered next year. Doesn't hurt to try.

Bodog pulled bets because to many of the people on the forum were taking advantage of a +EV bet, so we can try and show ESPN that broadcasting more events is a +EV for them. Just my 2 cents......

It would be difficult to tape a triple draw event seeing as they they aren't playing one this year. They have a $5K Deuce to 7 SINGLE DRAW event, but no TD. Haven't for at least 2 years, maybe longer.

That's what I was getting at. I had no clue what Razz was until I saw it that year when they televised it and I understood it right away. They did an alright segment on introducing the game. It just made it more enjoyable to have some variety in their broadcast.
