Aces_Up 0
I have been posting here sparingly for a little over a year, but I haven't posted many hands in Strat. I am currently going through my first extended downswing, so my plan is to review my hands at the end of each session and post any hands that I feel I misplayed or where I was unsure of the correct play. After grinding my way up from $0.02/$0.04 LHE to $0.50/$1 I switched from full ring to 6 max. I moved up to $1/2 6 max when I got to $600 (probably a bit early), but I plan on battling it out until I fall to at least $400. Over my first 7000 hands, I have been down as much as 85 BB and up as much as 40 BB. Currently I am down 35 BB. Overall it is nothing serious, but a good time to look closer at my game. One last thing before I get to the first hand. Having just started using Pokertracker, I am wondering what stats you guys give on a hand that you post. If I am reviewing my sessions afterwards and giving the villians stats, they aren't really the stats he had at the time. Advice on this is appreciated. This hand illustrates a common problem I have. I admit the 3-bet pre-flop is a bit loose and it's not a common play for me, but in general when I raise pre-flop with an A and miss I'm not sure when to give up. I find it hard to find the middle-ground between spewing and giving up to early.Villian is 59.55/19.1/1.8 after 89 hands.PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is SB with 6, A. 1 fold, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, Button calls.Flop: (7 SB) 3, 2, 4(2 players)Hero bets, Button calls.Turn: (4.50 BB) T(2 players)Hero bets, Button calls.River: (6.50 BB) 2(2 players)Hero bets, Button calls.Final Pot: 8.50 BB
Actuary 3
if you post hands with 6 or less players in the short hand forum you will get better answers. As loose and aggressive as the Button is, I'd probably play all the same except c/c the river.and while playing you can get stats on the table at the time of the hand using GT+ or PAHUD software. And we use VPiP / PFR% / AF Aggr and include number of hands at the time. If later, he seems to morph into another style, you can add that read....

I don't really pick out which hands I'm going to post until after I review my session, so I don't have the stats I was using at the time of the hand then. So do you guys try to note hands and stats as you are playing in case you want to post them later?
