TandtheMan88 0
Luckily the host Coulter talked down to the politician trying to get it passed. He said what is the big deal over online gambling. The senator, said we don't need this money leaving the country and people don't know what they will get when hey put money in online gambling sites. Yeah he doesnt understand poker. He also said that this will target the people starting the sites and that if they can be extradited back to the United States they will face similar punishment as people involved with child porn. He said punishment for individual betters will be up to the state.Yeah like all online poker players are going to jail. We sure have enough jail space for that. Doesn't the govt have enough to be worried about- sex predators walking free?

Whatever 1
They can pass all the laws they want to. Online poker will still thrive. It's just too convenient.
EmFactor 0
They can pass all the laws they want to. Online poker will still thrive. It's just too convenient. It's not going to be all that convenient if they cut off the money supply. I forget where I was reading it, but I heard chatter about possibly cutting off the option of depositing money from a checking account or Neteller account. That means that people from this country won't have a way to deposit money easily into online poker sites. Right now, for instance, most credit card companies will not let you use your card to deposit funds for online gaming; that may soon include debit cards and other deposits from checking/savings accounts. Of course there would be workarounds, but for the casual player, it may do the trick if it ever comes that far.
