Shopping for cards, and have a question or two:Direct from the Copag site, which I think owns Kem now, Copags are $14.95, Kems are $24.95. Both prices are for two decks and a hansome carrying case, but, the Kems only come with one joker for some reason.Any one have a preference between the two? Can you justify the extra ten bucks for Kems?Another site is selling Copags for $9.99, which I don't understand. He also wants nearly $7 bucks to ship, compared to Copags $3, (free if you buy two) so, it's $17 from a third party, $18 from Copag.Copag said that Kems have no vinyl, 100% plastic. I don't know if that really matters, do you?

I love Copag's, I have had Kem's also and did like those too, but not as much as Copag's. The Copag's are thicker, and more durable, I have had the same two decks for three years and have yet to break one, where I broke a Kem within the first month. I think Copag's are the better value, shop around on eBay too. Also, I believe Bee bought Kem after they went out of business, and Copag remains owned by itself.

Thanks for the input...I know, or, I think I know that somebody bought Kem. I thought it was Copag, but will defer to you.I just can't feature how Kems could be worth 60% more than Copags. But, all the card clubs I play at here in CA use Kems. I don't know why.

I have both and play with both in my home games. I would definetly just say go with the Copags, basically the same cards for cheaper plus I like mine more than the Kems for some reason, just better feel I guess.

We bought 8 decks (4 packs) of Copags 1.5 years ago for our www.michianapokertour.com events. We've had 40 events, plus at least 30 non-Tour events... every event has had 15-35 players, and we use 2 decks per table. Every event has a cash game following that lasts until 6am at least.Needless to say these decks have been used A LOT.. add to that the beer and food spilled on them. We've cleaned each deck 4 times since buying. They look as good as they did when they were new.

i've been using the same two decks of copags in my home game for at least a year now. if one gets marked or faded, we send it in for a replacement, which takes about a week. copags are pretty much the best you can get, IMO. whoever said to go with the cheapest is wrong.
