FourFlusher 0
Shopping for cards, and have a question or two:Direct from the Copag site, which I think owns Kem now, Copags are $14.95, Kems are $24.95. Both prices are for two decks and a hansome carrying case, but, the Kems only come with one joker for some reason.Any one have a preference between the two? Can you justify the extra ten bucks for Kems?Another site is selling Copags for $9.99, which I don't understand. He also wants nearly $7 bucks to ship, compared to Copags $3, (free if you buy two) so, it's $17 from a third party, $18 from Copag.Copag said that Kems have no vinyl, 100% plastic. I don't know if that really matters, do you?

The Copag's are thicker, and more durable, I have had the same two decks for three years and have yet to break one, where I broke a Kem within the first month. I think Copag's are the better value, shop around on eBay too. Also, I believe Bee bought Kem after they went out of business, and Copag remains owned by itself.
FourFlusher 0
Thanks for the input...I know, or, I think I know that somebody bought Kem. I thought it was Copag, but will defer to you.I just can't feature how Kems could be worth 60% more than Copags. But, all the card clubs I play at here in CA use Kems. I don't know why. crimethink_ 0
I would also say copags are better. As rbakken said, thicker and more durable. Also, Kem was acquired by the United States Playing Card Company (which also owns Bee) in 2004, assuming Wikipedia is correct.
ROGUE06 0
I have both and play with both in my home games. I would definetly just say go with the Copags, basically the same cards for cheaper plus I like mine more than the Kems for some reason, just better feel I guess.
FourFlusher 0
I went Copag...the Ebay tip was a good one, got them for $14.95 and no shipping cost.
JeremyG 0
We bought 8 decks (4 packs) of Copags 1.5 years ago for our www.michianapokertour.com events. We've had 40 events, plus at least 30 non-Tour events... every event has had 15-35 players, and we use 2 decks per table. Every event has a cash game following that lasts until 6am at least.Needless to say these decks have been used A LOT.. add to that the beer and food spilled on them. We've cleaned each deck 4 times since buying. They look as good as they did when they were new. FourFlusher 0
I just hope they deal smoothly...I bought some cheap ones, Royal, and they don't slide off the deck well.
No_Neck 0
6 of one half dozen of the other, they are both much better the bicycle cards that is for sure. The moral is go with the cheaper one.
penne 0
All you need to know is that Teddy KGB uses the arrow back regular index poker size kems in his club.
FourFlusher 0
I like the jumbo index...I'm no spring chicken, and, if I am at the end of the table I have trouble seeing the flop and the show down cards at the other end.
DB10-2 0
i've been using the same two decks of copags in my home game for at least a year now. if one gets marked or faded, we send it in for a replacement, which takes about a week. copags are pretty much the best you can get, IMO. whoever said to go with the cheapest is wrong. Karkstark1 0
I got a set of Copags of pokersourceonline, and they have been great. I can not feel a noticable difference between them and Kems.
XX44466XX 0
I just ordered some decks of FCP Copags...Can't wait till they get here...
