sirch1 0
play cash games or other tournaments at the same time, probably a better idea would be to watch all the players at your table the whole time and try and get a feel for players but when you have A.D.D like me mulitple windows does the trick

Canary3 1
watching tv and listening to music sounds good....... watching the other players seems like a complete waste. I treat every player the same basically..... i usually play mtts of $11 and below and everyone sucksI mostly play the $11 MTTs and below, I try and watch TV, talk on AIM, and or listen to music. You could always have another table running on the side. You are right though about there being tons of bad players. For me, usually after the first break and when you get close to the money, I buckle down, turn off TV, put on the headphones and pay better attention since I will get very aggressive and steal blinds as we break the bubble and move up the steps of the pay ladder. ryansd 0
I like to play 2 tournies at once, and bring my lap top out into my living room and sit on the couch. Ill throw on some sports and just relax.
NOFX_PUNK 0
I suffer from the same problem and if I lose focus I play too many hands and lose! I am a massive music buff tho and I just listen to hour upon hour of music! I can't watch films while I play but a bit of scrubs or some other good sitcom works ok. Porn is always a plan... grocery_mony 8
100 and 101 on sirius radio is entertaining without diverting your focus. i have a hard time focussing during the first hour of low buy in mtts too but i am all business past the first break.

TheCinciKid 0
Guess I'm the only one who folds laundry, huh ? Heh, I don't even fold my laundry. It generally just stays wadded up until I need to wear it. As far as dealing with MTT boredom, I usually have the biggest problems when I've managed to put together a biggish stack early and I suddenly find myself wanting to play too many hands. I usually play a couple of other tables to keep myself from getting bored, and will often shut everything else down if I'm in or near the cash of an MTT with a chance to go deep.
