it would not even be stupid if you wanted to stay at 0.02/0.04 for ever.depends what your objectives are.

Started back at 1/2 with some help, been playing for 2 days now, started with some full ring, but last night went to two shorthanded tables, and basically owned them.Example, I hold 8 :club: 9 :D, flop T :D J :D Q :), it's bet and raised before it even gets to me. We cap the flop 3 ways, the turn 3 ways, and I get 2 bets from one guy on the river after the 4th diamond falls.1 minute later, on my other table, I have QQ, raise PF, get a call, flop top set on an incredibly dry board, and cap the flop, turn the quads, cap the turn heads up, river is a K, we cap the river, and he shows K2o for the rivered top pair. Nice. With the way those are going, I think I'll stick with the SH tables for now, I'm up 75 BB over about 2k hands since Sunday.Looking forward to a nice rebuilding of the bankroll. My goal for June is to make 600 BB's at 1/2.- Zach
good luck zach, 1/2 six max was my fav limit...i think i stayed there too long though. Anyway, i've moved my money to the rakefree site (wpex) and so far so good. I havent even used PT since going there, so i don't know the numbers, but im barely up for about two weeks of playing, say 40 BB. The play is soild but i feel like im running poorly too. That's not what's important though, the rakeback almost guarantees that my bankroll will increase. At 2/4 full, 3 tables i make 250 a week in rakeback. I know i dont play much, but you can calculate roughly how much you make in rake on their website. blah, that wasnt a talking point. goals? cut out time wasting activities that i dont really want to do and replace them with poker. Make enough through rakeback *alone* to prove to my parents i don't have to work at my useless job (seriously society doesnt need my job) even when i run poorly.

My goal for this month is to not finish negative...and that's looking increasingly difficult with each passing session.

The last few days would've been shitty had it not been for bonus (and rakeback too i suppose).Im down $225. But it'd probably be closer to $450 without the $200 bonus cleared. And ive accumulated about $120 in rakeback owed to me... and about $30 worth of ARP points. So really, im only down about $75 despite this 80BB downswing.Yikes.Im not too concerned about the money, mind you. It feels good to play at stakes where you have nearly 3,000 big bets.

I might soon.I have about 30k hands at 3/6 now.I need to find a site that has decent 5/10 games though and has a good rakeback+bonus deal. Absolute is great for 3/6, but their 5/10 games are notoriously tough and they arent going often. If i play on party though, im missing out on a ton of money that i get in reloads, rakeback and player points.I might try out WPEX. Ive heard there are some problems getting it to work with PT and importing hand histories....

I just finished a sick night.+137.5 BB's at 1/2 SH, in about 721 hands. Is that a good run?So, with that, I'm up just over 350 BB's on the month, and I didn't start playing until June 4th.So far, so good.- Zach

Another shitty day, with bonus being the only reason im even for the night. 5/10 was a wreck. Lost the most ridiculous hands to the worst players at the table. Ugh. Im terrified of everything at this point. I feel like a checkraise is coming at the most ridiculous turns.I had KK under the gun. Raise preflop. folded to good player in bb who 3bets. i cap. flop comes Q :D 10 :D 10 :) He checks, i bet, he raises... call planning on raising a non-ace turn. turn comes a K :D (hoohaw)He bets, i raise, he 3bets, i cap.river comes the A :) He bets. :club: Down something like $500 at the tables these past 3 days is my guess, but cleared about $300 in bonus and have about another $200 coming in rakeback. So whatever.

What's he 3 bet on this turn? QQ and 10s. are it right? AA has to slow down.river is ace, so i'm assuming he had 10s or AA, but going with 10s. Chance of QQ although not as likely. What have he? Wondering outta curiousity. better luck.- Jordan

After getting consistently beaten down over the past few weeks...essentially breaking even or losing, I had a really positive session last night. I've won a lot more in a session, but considering the level and time...it was spectacular to the point of restoring broken dreams. Ran up a profit of $1,200 at 1/2 NLHE in around 3 hours. I can't recall having $1,250 sitting on a $200 buy-in table at any previous time.

I'm having a kick *** month running at an average of 20.57 BB/100 at 5/10 and up.Goal is $20k for month, at just over $10k so far, and just started playing with rakeback (7.5 hours at $149 in rakeback so far).

i really hope you're playing NL.update for me: home for a week, so no playing. up a couple thousand this month, but getting in a lot of hours. not winning too much because i've put in nearly 10K hands at pokerroom and skins, and barely breaking even NET of bonus. blah.

thanks - scrolled down to where he was playing 50/100 with $3K and thinking it was ok because he was "in the middle of the pack stack-wise." and also where he lost over 30% of his bankroll in one night.you gotta gamble if you want to be a pro though, right?

Probably just an upswing, ironically.

Just thought I'd mention that two nights ago I was playing 1/2 live (PLO + NLHE) and got a little too drunk. (You don't lose an edge if everyone at the table's doing it, right? Oh, wait you do if you have 4 more drinks than they do.) Also, I stayed way too long and it led to me getting really sloppy. Anyway, I ended up having my worst live session ever, losing $1500 over 15 hours.Well, after that, my 'goal' (see the relevance to the thread) was to grind the online 1/2 PLO games until I won the money back. I'm proud to say that after four and a half hours of two-tabling, I did it! Up $1600 over about 500 hands. Obviously, I caught some cards, but I also feel really good about my play over that time period, as I can only think of one memorable suckout where I shouldn't have been in the pot. (Made a bad call with trips and then caught a better boat on the river.)Anyway, I'm planning on grinding the online PLO games again for a while tonight, until I clear that stupid Party bonus (it's only $100, but what the hey), and then I might go back to SnGs for a while. Also, I'm not playing live any more at the casinos this weekend, as I'm going to save my energy in case the home game comes together that some people at the casino were talking about setting up. They were talking about playing 30/60 limit which is a little high for my BR, but nothing I can't afford every once in a while (I've got 200 BB or so), and when I'm sober, and taking the game seriously, I'm waaaaay better than them. Also, I get the impression that a lot of them don't know how to play limit very well, as evidenced by the night we were playing 2-20 spread, where I capped the betting on the flop with a straight flush draw to get a free card, checked the turn, and bet the river upon hitting, and half the table acted bewildered like it was the strangest thing they'd ever seen in their lives.
