Drug History Lesson Needed

Bill HicksPot, right. Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit... paranoid? You know what I mean? It's nature. How do you make nature against the ****ing law? It grows everywhere. Serves a thousand different functions, all of them positive. To make marijuana against the law is like saying God made a mistake. You know what I mean, it's like God on the seventh day looked down on his creation: "There it is, my creation, perfect and holy in all ways. Now, I can rest." [Mimes God looking around - spotting pot] "Oh my me." "I left ****ing pot everywhere." "I should never have smoked that joint on the third day ..****." "That was the day I created possums. Haha. Still gives me a chuckle." "If I leave pot everywhere that's gonna to give humans the impression they're supposed to... 'use' it." "(sigh) Now I have to create Republicans." And God wept. I believe is the next verse.

2. What happened to the Qualude? How do you go from the number one party drug to non-existent like that
I was watching a Frontline espisode on PBS about Meth and they mentioned this very issue. And I think some people have it slightly wrong. It wasnt the FDA. It was the DEA. The cheimical used in the drug had to be produced by a factory (it was man-made). They went to these factories around the world and got them to stop producing the chemical. Thus Qualudes ended.I'm going to post the link to the Frontline episode I'm refering to. You can view it for free online.http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/meth/view/The episode is primarily about Meth, but if you only want to know about the Qualudes part, watch the part thats titled "Lost Opportunity." I think about 2 minutes they start talking about it. They actually interview the guy who helped kill Qualudes. And BTW, the whole Frontline episode about Meth is pretty good.

Back in the eighties I used to grow some weed. It was sensamilla. It was called, Meigs county gold here. We would plant up to 100 plants in a circle area. Come back and take out the males. Then in late September harvest the rest of the plants. Back then we would get $2500 a pound. I havent done it for the last 15 years. I guess now they take your farm if you are caught. Plus a jail time.It is still grown here on a big time basis, but I am not involved in it anymore.

I know my father and his brother owned 600 acres. I know for a fact they received $50,000 back in 1980. For the right for my Mom's brother to grow dope on our land.Back then, my uncle would plant the dope in the corn rows. That is why he used sensemilla. It didnt grow tall, but produced big buds. Hell, some dummies would plant columbia plants, and they grew to like 10 to 15 feet tall. lol.

Here are two things I've wondered about for a while1. Back in the day you had to separate the seeds from weed but now you don't. What happened? Did someone invent a miracal product?2. What happened to the Qualude? How do you go from the number one party drug to non-existent like that3. Why can't they cut Cocaine with something that isn't laxative?I bow to all of your knowledge?
These are really good questions that I have no answers to, but I'll guess.1. People used to get ripped off a lot more back in the day. There wasn't as much supply, so people growing the plants just used to chop it all up, weight it, and sell it, instead of just picking off the buds.2. Don't know. I think it has something to do with bellbottoms.3. Because shitting and grinding your teeth at the same time at 10am makes you want to do more coke.

No.But there are hermaphrodic weed plants. They're both hilarious and useless at the same time.
hilarious, no, completely and utterly useless, yes. Hermie plants blow and it sucks when you come across some at harvest

Poor hermies. Will they ever be accepted in the weed society?
