If You Knew There Was God, A "god", Etc...

No, given the scriptures I presented it still applies. The presentation is what needs to be perfected. I have no doubt that I am still correct on the issues at hand, just incorrect on one of the details.
See I told you that you needed to go back to school. Whilst your there, learn to count.one != all

Copied from another thread as I thought it best to keep Lois' bullshit re science in one place

What I said was that evolution as the means for creation is highly unlikely, infinitely unlikely, and I will choose that which I know to be true instead. What I see is a world so complicated that the idea that intellect does not exist behind it's mechanisms is just wrong. We cannot duplicate what it takes to make a seed for a plant- we can plant the seed, but we cannot make the seed. However, if I were to believe an evolutionists point of view I would have to accept that the seed just happened, it put itself together in such a way that causes it to grow and produce whatever it is said seed produces. I see the moon, I see God, I see the Sun, I see God. A scripture tells me," Behold, the moon, and it shineth not" and I say" That's weird, no telescopes, the fact that the moon has no light of it's own was not common knowledge, how did the writer know this scientific fact?" and then I see a reason to believe the Bible as the word of God. There are many, but I had jut mentioned the moon so I threw that in there. Science and the bible in some ways have actually worked together to help me believe the bible. This will cause the champions of science to **** there collective pants and throw barbs at me, but they know that whatever doubts they try and throw at me are largely just thought process designed to keep one going in a circle, with no real answers to be had.
Hi - that scripture, when Bildad is lecturing Job (ie It's not God speaking but a man who was incorrect in his understanding of Gods ways), is a reference to the fact that the moon goes through cycles of light and dark, and thus is not pure. Context is a wonderful thing, isn't it.0/5Even though it's not pure I'm grateful it's there though, because without the moon the oceans would just float away...
Wrong. Nice try, though.
Not even an arguement then? It's not hard to work out why.Whilst your going back to school it looks like you need to add English comprehension to the list. Also, despite your '25 years of bible study' it is obvious you need to add a little Theology 101.Unless of course you are suggesting that the story goes:God allows Satan to do his stuff to Job. Then Bildad and his buddies come to talk to Job. Along the way God has a brainstorm: He plants a seed of unknown scientific knowledge within Bildad's skull so that when the time is perfect he can spout forth this wisdom. Now Job doesn't have this knowledge, because God cannot touch him whilst Satan is messing with him, and giving him knowledge that is obviously divinely inspired would be bolstering his faith and cheating.Anyway Job doesn't even blink an eye at Bildad's unknown scientific fact. To him Bildad would be spouting rubbish and lies about God's world, and remember Job is one of the most faithful of God's followers. Yet not a single word. So Job doesn't object, but along comes God from his whirlwind and denounces them:Job 42[7] And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.So we have God making Bildad say these unknown scientific facts only for God to say that what they say is not right.Definatlely 0/5. Actually I'm going to make it -1/5 for stupidity.Wait, if I use that scale I have to adjust for the oceans floating away...-2/5I can't believe you chose this one Lois. Anybody who had the simplest comprehension of Job would not touch the shiny moon with a 10 foot pole. Obviously for all your bragging of your biblical knowledge, it runs about as deep as your knowledge on gravity. I really hope this was not the result of you 'perfecting it' as you mentioned above. That would be extremely embarassing for you.I think you better get back to Google and move on to your next example or are you done now? (you didn't think we actually believed you were coming up with these yourself did you?)
I have a question, and this is addressed to the unbelievers. In the bible there were men, who saw Jesus miracles and still did not believe. Is this a testament to the power of sin or the idea that some peoples will is unconquerable, meaning that he who will believe will believe, he who will not just will not? I think about these conversations and I wonder if some of you were able to see if it would even matter- here is christ, here is a miracle of some sort, and it would not matter, you are who you are. Which in away is a good thing because I think that it takes all types to make the world habitable. If we were all evangelical christians who would we preach to? It takes all types. One of the things it alludes to biblically is that in order to get to heaven, in order to make christianity work our faith has got to be greater than that of the apostles- it has to be, because we do not have the benefit of direct observation. I think that statement speaks volumes in that it shows why a true christian cannot be wavered, by the most driven if atheists because what they have tapped into within themselves so to speak, an atheist can never receive, or even begin to comprehend.
Firstly, please stop using the term unbeliever. I prefer 'free thinker'.Secondly, I don't know how many times I have to spell this out to you. What is it going to take to get it through your fukin thick skull?I AM NOT CHALLENGING YOUR RIGHT TO BELIEVE YOU RETARDKeep believing in Jesus. I don't care. I disagree that he and God exist, but I couldn't give a monkey's if you want to or not.Simply stop spreading these bullshit claims. From an outsiders point of view it is evilFrom a Christians point of view it is a sin. Why do think not a single Christian poster has supported your claims re scientific fact in this thread? They know you're full of it.It's ironic you keep bringing up Job. Read Job through.Take a moment in Chapter 42 and read verse 7 & 8 a number of times. Crank up that peanut you call a brain and try to comprehend what it says[7] And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.[8] Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.

Job 38 that is God speaking to Job, the whole chapter, out of a whirlwind. You mentioned that, but I don't really think you are seeing that. All God does is go, these are the facts, which Job has no answer for. My interpetation still works. Whats with all the putdowns and name calling? What's the point? Some of the people here actually enjoy talking back and forth with me(on some level), whether I am right or wrong- I have been both, and I will be both, many times over and over. I see no reason for being a complete ***- what would you like, a board in which all christians hold hands and sing kumbaya while the unbelievers or "freeethinkers' scream in unity that it's pointless, God and Jesus are a sham? Or a board where christians and free thinkers alike present ideas and discuss them like equals, without using words like retard or peanut brain? If I don't believe in dinosaurs, who is hurt? If I see the bible a certain way? Who does it hurt? Nobody. Just food for thought.

Hi. The shiny moon is Job 25.I've already explained why context is important for Job 38. Go have somebody read it to you.'Your' interpretation doesn't work

Interesting you should ask given you've been liberal with put-downs yourself in the past. Is it all getting a bit hard for you?As I've explained countless times before I am not anti-religion. I am anti-stupidity.I will quite happily have civilised theological discussions with those theists with a brain in their head.DonkSlayer, FullMonty, Foose1 to name a few have my respect and I enjoy 'discussions' with them. That said I did rip into Foose1 once when he posted what could be interpreted as instructions to murder homosexuals. The likes of BrvHeart and CU are just daft and on the whole can be ignored as harmless. You and the likes of herokid7 however, are a special kind of stupid. You rant and rave about your beliefs which is fine. What separates you though is you add lies and deceit to the crap you spew forth. Blatant, clearly disprovable, lies. In your case, with your obviously reduced capacity for rational thought, you are simply regurgitating rhetoric that has been shoved down your own throat. The problem is when you preach with deceit, you are encouraging people to follow under false pretexts and thus take psychological comfort in an environment of betrayal and distrust. This amounts to nothing more than abuse. The ultimate result of religion by deceit results in horrors like Waco and 9/11, and groups like the KKK etc. Not that I'm suggesting for a second that is where you are heading, simply pointing out the illustrious company you are joining, and to put your question of 'who does it hurt' in perspectiveSo whilst this is in the public domain I will continue to shout you down and expose you for the fool you are so that no naive minds will read your deranged claims without seeing rational counters to them.Anyone that wants to 'join' Christianity or any other religion is fine by me. I just get concerned if they are inspired by lies.So in short, I don't get on your back because you are Christian, I get on your back because you preach lies. That, in my opinion, makes you filth.

Bible- inspired by God. Scientific facts in bible written before widely known, in some cases even known at all. I don't see the issue. Am I wrong occasionally. Yes. Does that make me wither into a pile of nothing and no longer have a train of thought? No. So, I will continue to put together lines of the thought, look at the bible from all angles and not worry about some dipshit ethug who likes to attempt to pick apart what I do, especially one who has no belief in God anyway. That would be the very defenition of a waste of time.
