psujohn 0
With AA or KK my goal is to get all-in pre-flop. Barring a situation where you're on the bubble and all places get paid the same like a satellite. Sucks that you ran into AA here but it happens.
Scott3705 0
I'd never fold KK in a tournament especially around the bubble.
shpaget 0
In this particular situation...no, I can't see folding...the 2nd raiser could have too many hands beyond AA, even if he considers you a rock UTG.The all-in could be making his final stand with a good range of hands that bode well to triple up...plus, you have him covered, so I'm not concerned....if he was the big stack, and he had reraised huge, then I could feel better about him having aces....but it simply comes to the quality of players...Anything under a $20 buy-in and I never fold KK....the higher the buy-in the more likely I am to give the players credit that they understand the power of re-reraising an UTG raise.I'd push, and if WEAZ had AA, oh well. Now, if I was the button here (oconnort), following an UTG raise, MP reraise, CO re-reraise all-in, I think I could fold KK, with no money invested...but not in your situation. RDog 0
Okay , I didn't think it was extreme enough to get any takers on the fold but yet again, another reason why you should never fold KK preflop (barring certain satellite situations with someone definitely going out, etc).I'll post the rest of the hand now so you can see how it played out. I posted this during the middle of this tournament. Check out the chat to see how close I came to being knocked out before the money, instead I went on to win the whole thing. rdog7811 raises (25509) to 31009rdog7811 is all-In.THE_WEAZ: TT no goodTHE_WEAZ folds.Creating Main Pot with $49955 with SeaGabeCreating Side Pot 1 with $13019 with rdog7811** Dealing Flop ** : [ 6s, Ts, Ah ] ** Dealing Turn ** : [ 3c ] ** Dealing River ** : [ 4d ] ** Summary **Main Pot: 49955 | Side Pot 1: 13019Board: [ 6s Ts Ah 3c 4d ]Cha0s_St0rm balance 36638, lost 75 (folded) MILTWILCOX balance 21434, lost 75 (folded) DaWay2Play balance 26544, lost 75 (folded) THE_WEAZ balance 32928, lost 10375 (folded) SeaGabe balance 0, lost 18065 [ Qh Qs ] [ a pair of queens -- Ah,Qh,Qs,Ts,6s ]oconnort balance 63633, lost 75 (folded) asian2003 balance 23670, lost 1075 (folded) theowlking balance 23060, lost 2075 (folded) rdog7811 balance 62974, bet 31084, collected 62974, net +31890 [ Ks Kc ] [ a pair of kings -- Ah,Ks,Kc,Ts,6s ]
Bizzle 0
but yet again, another reason why you should never fold KK preflopI think I love you.
shpaget 0
Check out the chat to see how close I came to being knocked out before the money, instead I went on to win the whole thing.Case in point to why you push here....some people would call, which puzzles the hell out of me.Although, in this scenario, if you had called, after that flop, you'd have folded and still been around. And, in this scenario, against a worse player, your push would have been called and you would have busted out.Which is why, overall, results are meaningless. shpaget 0
another reason why you should never fold KK preflopIt's an ongoing debate that will never be resolved, but I have a hard time saying I'll "never" fold KK preflop (even outside the obvious satellite situations where folding AA will be correct). If you're in the button or blinds, and action has gone:utg raise 3xbbutg+1 reraises 3 times his betMP reraises allinCO reraises allinDo you think your Kings are playable in anything but the smallest of buyin tourneys?Semantics, maybe...perhaps never implies "almost" never except a one in a million situation...but I simply believe saying "never fold KK" leads to just mindlessly playing the hand, without really thinking it through. And no, I myself have never folded KK pf...I've never folded QQ pf. JJ and AK are the two best hands I've folded pf, outside of a satellite situation.
Rocketwadster 0
There are numerous spots to fold KK in tourneys, but I'm not sure the scenario in the OP is one of them...

blakheart 3
M less then 10- My only question is why you didn't just jam from the get go- this works better, clearly you can not go away here. Reraising all in is the only play to even consider.

RDog 0
M less then 10- My only question is why you didn't just jam from the get go- this works better, clearly you can not go away here. Reraising all in is the only play to even consider.Typically I wait for a slightly lower M before going into push mode, especially with a hand that I want action with. I want someone to come over the top here so I hope my bet is inviting.Have you seen Taylor in action? That chick is a porn star?! Wow.
gregdon8 0
the only reason to raise 3BB and not push with that stack is to invite action. Now that you have it do what you set out to do and get all of your chips in the middleIf you want to win this hand with as little a confrontation as possible, then push
Smasharoo 0
Hi, totally impossible to answer without payouts in a rebuy. Depedning on the payout you'd fold aces here.good luck.
RDog 0
Hi, totally impossible to answer without payouts in a rebuy. Depedning on the payout you'd fold aces here.good luck.Since obviously it isn't a satellite I would like to hear any rationale you would have for folding Aces (or K's for that matter)? BTW, we were at about 40 people, it paid 30, which got $195. 1st was 7k.
doublemeup 0
Yeah I'd push it in with the kings here. Queens, tough but I'd probably have to fold.
Mashchit 0
Ummmm....no.And no way in hell no. My situation is not even close.I wouldn't agree with numerous, but there are occasional spots to fold KK pf in tourneys. I agree that your situation isn't one of them and I'd have pushed pre-flop. I prefer Actuary's avatar.
