Wsop Me Is Getting Cheaper

Recommended Posts

In 1972, the buy-in for the WSOP ME was increased from 5K to 10K. This 10K figure still remains for today. Due to inflation (inflation calculator: http://www.halfhill.com/inflation.html ), 10K in 1972 is equivalent to about 48K today. Just some food for thought.
And 10K in 1972 would be worth $160K in the year 2049, man...I can't wait 40 years from now.

Another thing to think about it is the first prize. Think of how much the winners in the 70's took home for 1st prize and try to inflat that to the current 7.5 million payday for first place last year.
