Gentlemen, Tell Me I Am Mistaken

Recommended Posts

I must admit, I went out last night, had some drinks..well, probably 12. Came home, spent some time with the wifey, relaxed, felt the itch. I turned to Fulltilt and put my entire roll (yes I know) $150 on the 2/4 table..ahh, i know. But here I sit, an hour later, still nicely buzzing with $500 smooth.. What's that all about? Sometimes I wonder if a few..14 beers is what I need to give me the balls I need to play this game...comments, bring it..Dhall

i like what you did, and so would most my friends.people that don't take risks are boring, and people that don't drink are boring.on a somewhat contradictory sidenote, people that play poker when drunk are moronic.but sometimes being moronic, is fun.

If $150 were my whole bankroll i'd withdraw it and buy some food stamps. Just sayin.

I agree that I seem to play "better" after I drink but I might be wrong... Nice job though.

no. you just aren't thinking clearly and don't care about the money...which is one part of being a better poker player.but being a better poker player when playing drunk is one of the vices of many poker players and why many won't succeed in the long run.glglll- Jordan

so then he is playing better when drunk. Drinking makes you not care about the money. Not caring about money makes you play better. Drinking makes you play better. Also, for anyone with a $150 bankroll, please put it all at one or two tables. Honestly, what the **** can you do with a $150 bankroll. If you're a winning player and playing within bankroll requirements on a $150 bankroll, your bankroll growth is probably barely keeping up with inflation.

yeah the goal is to not worry about the money and of course you may fail. You could fail while being sober if your goal overall was to make money because you could play too cautiously. It's all about what the player what's to do and feels most comfortably doing.

If I were trying to be funny and wasn't serious...well, I still wouldn't give a crap what you think. Thanks though!
