This album is amazing.I don't think I can disagree more.I think this album is VERY weak, and so was By The Way. Californication was pretty good, but I miss their old stuff. I consider RHCP to be my favorite band, but only until Californication.And to whoever made the comment about Flea being a sick bassist, Your Right. Flea is a sick bassist, but it's a shame that the album barely focuses on his bassing.The songs are average, and they just seem to be a run of the mill pop-rock band now.I like it, but it's not there best stuff.Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik is by far their best album, and definitely one of the best rock albums within the past 25 years.fyp Link to post Share on other sites

It's hard to listen to Stadium Arcadium...it's a different band. It's not the same band that made the beatiful, wonderful BloodSugarSexMagik.The only decent song is called Humpty Hump or something like that. Other than that it's just . . . well, I don't like it. They've definitely evolved...I guess they evolved away from your tastes and more towards mine. It does suck though when one of your favorite bands that you've been with since the beginning changes their style a bit. I'll probably get flamed for saying this but Creed used to be my favorite band back in the day. My Own Prison...thier first album is my favorite ablum of all time. After that they quickly went in the toilet...they sold out and I'll be the first to admit it was embarassing to be a Creed fan towards the end. Their last album was a joke...even though it sold a billion copies. I don't think this is whats happening with RHCP though. A lot of people are saying the same thing I am about this album. RHCP PWN.couldn't have said it better. they seem to be focusing on their work a lot more now, instead of being strung out and playing like in the old days. regardless, this stuff is just as interesting, even if it has been done before. no one has been able to copy their style yet. Not anything fantastic, but for a band that has been around for 20+ years, it could be much worse.My favorite era of RHCP was Blood Sugar Sex Magik and everything that came before it. I am a big fan of `80s RHCP. Californication is when the band became a little too mainstream and radio-friendly for my liking. It's a 2 disc set, and one of these CD's blow.I love the CD with Dani California, Snow, Charlie, Stadium Arcadium, Hump de Bump, and Wet Sand.The other CD is just rediculously terrible. If you guys haven't yet, pick up their "Live at Hyde Park" CD. Its a 2 disc set, and has a great cover of "Brandy" on it. Link to post Share on other sites
