daniel's silly poker mountain run

Recommended Posts

i and i know a few other's here were playing with DN at a .25/.50 NL table today when he went on a silly rush.i think he must of had at least one person all in about 5 hands in a row. 25 dollar buy in i think he had about 260 bucks or so. it was retarded. he was raising with all kinds of stuff and it just kept hitting. it was retarded (in a good way). he pretty much pummeled the table. i finally doubled up a few times right after he left but while he was there he was murdering people. it was sick.

I have a plan to play with "maniacs" like him.Leave the table and come back with the minimum buy-in. Wait til you've got a decent hand then go all-in with him. Win or lose you leave and come back with the minimum buy-in.

Only lose the minimum, versus winning the maximum...not a good outlook to have

Each time when I play I have a goal to reach, I would rather reach it slowly yet safely. Playing with hyper aggressive players can do great damage real bad sometimes if not careful enough, from my own experience. I will just take his money one at a time.

yeah i agree, why only win the minimum. i finally hit pocket aces and he doubled me up. granted earlier i called him all in preflop with a 10 suited and got destroyed when he had a q. but hey what are you gonna do.

Take calculated risksAgainst a maniac you wait it out till you have a premium hand then make him pay dearly. You don't want to waste a premium hand where the only thing you gain is the minimum

A huge advantage? Are you crazy? I hate cap games, especially at a casino. In Missouri the max buy in is $300. You get there after a bunch of people have already cleaned up on the table and buy in for the max and you still could have 2-4, maybe 5 people with over $1K. I like to have the maximum or near the maximum amount of money when I play. It's ludicrous not too.
