benhoug 0
Last night I was playing $1 $2 stud on Poker Room. I opened a new room and brought in 50 bucks. After a few minutes of waiting a guy came in w/ like 9 bucks. After playing for less than 10 minutes I busted him and he left, but I only had $53.30. My question is, how is it affordable to play heads up? Are there special rake rates when you play heads up? The private room I set up was for up to 5 players. Would the rake have been lower if I had set up a 2 player room? Or are the rakes so high that playing heads up is not affordable??? Any insight would be appreciated.
tightmike 0
I have noticed that playing heads up is not profitable unless you are playing for a decent chunk of change. Meaning 1-2 (not chunk of change), I would venture to guess that you would have to be playing AT LEAST 5-10 HE, 2-4 NLHE, heck even 5-10 Stud, for it to beat the rake.
