diamondhead 0
I came across this searching for O8 strategy. Does anyone use the OmahaHiLow Points System? If you do, is it worthwhile?? Vman96 0
I don't religiously use this...but my starting hand requirements closely mimic his requirements. It's a decent system to help guide you to appropriate starting hands in full-ring low-limit O8.
greatwhite 0
In a low limit passive game where 9/10 players see the flop just play any A2, AA, A3Wx, A3HH, AK3x, As3xx, As45x, 234x, and HHHH. Raise your AAxx to get shorthanded and fold your garbage AA to too much action. If you have AAWx, AA+pair, AAHH, or AAds I wouldn't fold. Also raise your good multiway hands like AKK3, or AQJ2. You can raise your premium low hands out back like As2xx, A23, or A24. However just check/call your garbage A2 like A279 rainbow. In late position you can probablly add your KQ23, A45x, KK23, QQ23, AKK4 and AQQ4, but these hands play better shorthanded.

For me this is the funnest way to play because there's more action and in most live low limit games there is still a positive EV. Although the one thing i don't quite agree with is the AA willingness/acceptance. i'd much rather play KKQQ then AAKK, but that may be just me. for beginners though stick to the point system to help guide you on hand selection and then once you get trust yourself to make correct post-flop decisions (after TIME) you can start to develop what you think is the best way to play for you.luv.
