Just a brag post ... kind of.I played in the $50 at windsor today, ended up chopping 2nd and 3rd for a win of $600.The guy who took 2nd/3rd with me was a really upstanding guy, and after his A 7 beat my QQ all in preflop, he told me he'd chop 2nd and 3rd regardless. After the hand I had about 10k (blinds 1.5/3k) and he had about 40k, chip leader had 70k.My biggest win yet. congrats, flames for a useless post, throw em at me.It's just good to know that after playing, what i feel was the greatest day of live poker i've had yet, I took home $600.REPRESENTING FCP

j/k dude. I love the Wings. Been a fan since the late 60's. Used to go down to the old Olympia and hang out with my bro, He had season tickets, upper level on the rail (actually a concrete wall) right behind the goal. Incredible seats. The Place echoed like the grand canyon too. Even got to skate there a few times. Met Gordie Howe. Blah blah. But I digress.Good times. :club: Congrats on your cash!

The $100 is on M/W/F, and the $50 is on T/TH.The structure of these tourneys didn't appeal to me at all at first. Here's the spec's:starting stack: 2000 chipsblinds:25/50 20 minutes50/100 20 minutes100/200 20 minutes200/400 30 minutes300/600 30 minutes500/1000 30 minutes800/1600 30 minutes1000/2000 30 minutes1500/3000 30 minutes2000/4000 30 minutes(When we finished blinds were 1500/3000)First time I went out early because I didn't adapt to the tourney structure, as well as the extremely bad play I saw.I don't know, I just felt that the way I was playing yesterday, I knew I would cash. Even when I was cruising and lost a little more than half my chips when my JJ got outflopped by 88, I just played TAG with an occasional timed steal, and made the FT, didn't get unlucky after that *until 3-handed* and I am happy with how I played. If you go on a tuesday/thursday, try to find me? I'll probably be wearing a popped collar talking to my tall friend, smoking a p-funk.Thank you come again.p.s. Last (friday?) of the month, the $100 is changed to a $500..... Check out casino windsors website for more info i suppose.

How early is sign-up?
If you're at the tables playing cash games, 8:30. Otherwise, 9am. Oh, and good question. I'd get there at quarter to 9, or 8:30 because the tourney fills up fast. Good luck.

Hold up. That tourney is a crapshoot. You're better off sitting in with the min. (50) on a 1-2 NL table and taking a shot. That, or, we could stay home and go to the club on sylvania on thursday. Or not, i'm broke.
Yeah my initial feeling of that tournament was that it's a crapshoot, and I still think it has that kind of persona. But hell, if I play the kind of poker I played during that tourney again, and not get unlucky too much, then I don't see it being too difficult to go deep again.
