ricker 0
i like how this thread went from a thread talking about The Office into Tom Cruise's personal life and best movies he's done....The Office is the greatest show on TV today and no one will ever be able to convince me otherwise.By the way, Top Gun was his best movie.... SBriand 4
I love the original Office on the BBC but cannot for the life of me get into the US version. I love Steve but the writing irks me for some reason. I might enjoy 1 out of 3 shows. Tom Cruise pisses me off because there are some of his movies that I like but I can no longer stomach watching him anymore. He is such a ******.
nutzbuster 7
LOVE the office! I work with half of those losers in real life!!!I would give it all up in an instant if Daniel would just hire me to do something else.Anything else. Please?????? (oh, btw I'd need, uh.... ....about 100K a year, + benefits would do it. Thanks!)

CobaltBlue 662
I'll have to watch it a few more times, but Casino Night is probably one of my favorite episodes.I didn't expect nearly as much payoff as they provided.
LAS22 0
Dwight has to be one of the funniest characters on the show. Every office I have ever been in has the "Mr. Company Man" who is the bosses pet, thinks he owns the company and is a complete tool. The Office cracks me up every week. golfanatic21 0
Haha they played poker and the older balding guy talked how he won a WSOP bracelt in 05 for 2-7 triple draw and he got knocked out by a woman who called him with an ace high but then someone said hey you have a flush. He proceed to get angry and drunk. lolMy favorite scene on the office was on Steve Carrells birthday episode and Dwight got him a jersey. On the back it said FROM DWIGHT. HAHAHAHA
FatBurger 0
The Office is a great show, but I wish they wouldn't try to take it so seriously. The finale pissed me off.
RuffRidr 0
Great show! Definitely one for the Tivo. My favorite episode so far was the one where Dwight was the office cop and was forcing everyone to do urine tests. That episode had me rolling. When I saw the first episode I was unimpressed. But the characters have really grown on me. It has gotten a lot better as the season has gone on.--RuffRidr

bampote 0
I was a big fan of the BBC version, so it's really hard to watch the NBC version. All of the characters line up with someone from the BBC version, so it just doesn't seem as original.Having said that, it's still better than just about every other comedy on network TV. I also liked the episode about Human Resources where Jim was telling all the pranks he has pulled on Dwight. Great show!
Mercury69 3
The original British version kicks ***.
KONGOS 0
Yea....Steve Carrel is amazing but I don't think anyone compares to Ricky Gervais when it comes to creating the most awkward moments ever.
CobaltBlue 662
I've found that people prefer whichever version they saw first. Personally, I like the American version more. I think part of it is that Michael Scott is a more likeable character than David Brent. I saw the episode where Brent tried to screw over his employees but failed the physical. I don't think Scott would ever do that. That said, I really do enjoy the British version. It's one of the better television shows out there. I think I'm in the minority in appreciating both of them a lot. The problem actually seems to lay in the comparison. If you view them as separate shows that stand on their own and just happen to have some similar characters and setting, both can be enjoyed.

Both Michael and David are clueless, but Michael is that sweet kind of clueless...while David Brent is sleazy. Michael only gets sleazy if he thinks Todd Packard will be there to appreciate it. CobaltBlue 662
Watched a couple more episodes of the British version last night that had recorded off of BBC America. It's a really funny show and has some of the sickest (in a good way) awkward moments in television history. They also get away with being a lot raunchier than the US version. mbreon 0
I agree with the other posters who said the BBC version is better. I really like the version that's on NBC now, but the original BBC version is far superior. Ricky Gervais is one of the funniest people alive (anyone watch Extras on HBO? Also priceless).
