checkymcfold 0
that actually sounds like a pretty cool idea. i'd be down, provided i'm still all-star material at that point.
Balloon guy 158
If we could do this in a one day deal, this could be a good day of smack talking.I'm always down for some smack talk

alf13 0
Teams or players?Players.I said "All-Star Teams" because being sellected in your conference should be an honor...So technically..if you are selected from the Spades conference..you play for the Spades conference. But the event is of course..every man for himself.
HangukMiguk 8
if that were the case, why not make it a freeroll?i don't see the point in having someone buy into something they were nominated or selected for. it makes it even more tougher if the individual couldn't afford the buy-in.all hypothetical, just saying. Absent of that...we ourselves would have to provide the incentive.

Why would I still play MTT's if I wasn't? If I was responsible I would sit there like an idiot for 12 hours a day grinding it out in 5-5 PLo games.Screw that..I want the GLOOOOORRRRRRRYYYYY!!!!! HoosierAlum 0
Good idea. He should pick the individual players with the best records. (with a minimum amount of games played) Freeroll or not, I will play if chosen.

fleung22 1
Great idea Alf!I'd make the all-star game near the half way mark like they do in most sport leagues. Sayyy...around week 8...no later than week 10 IMO.I do see some problems though. As previously stated, buying into the event will be tough for some who don't carry a large bankroll (e.g. those teams that require 5 players just to fund the franchise). Also, selection process is particularly tough with so few games.Public voting makes it a popularity contest and if we go with stats alone it'll definitely hurt good players that have to share the torch on a multi-player team.Hmm...maybe it could work like the Rider Cup in golf. Make two teams (one for each conference) and have an odd number of entrants. Some players will qualify by stats and some by committee selection. The captain will pre-set the order of competitors and each match-up can begin 20-30 min. apart. You win you score 1 point for your team. Winning team wins...well whatever there is to win!
The Czar 0
I certainly like the idea, but I'm not sure the Spades Conference can supply eight players. Perhaps a 12-4 split would be more appropriate.
