My 21 yr old friend goes there quite a bit and never gets ID'd in the pokeroom. Apparently you get ID'd more in the casino. I've heard they ID a lot in the casino area but never in the poker room so i'm thinking of giving it a shot. Wonder what happens if you get caught. Bringing a laptop to play online if i get caught and don't go to jail I'm not positive but I'd have to guess that you'll get in a lot less trouble with no idea than a fake ID. In most casinos if you get asked for ID and say "oh its in the car" they won't believe you but I doubt they care enough to have you punished most likely they'll just boot you from the place. Because in reality its a lot of work for them to hold you and prove you're not 21 and report it blah, blah, blah and the casinos don't care about upholding the law or seeing you punished they just dont want to lose their gaming license. However if you have a fake ID then you've committed a much more serious crime and the casino may then choose to follow up on it. So my recommendation is: Stay at home, but if you do go don't try and use a fake just hope for the best. Also when you walk in if you're dressed to the nines and look like you belong and know what you're doing you're much less likely to get carded. Link to post Share on other sites
goose 0 Posted May 12, 2006 Share Posted May 12, 2006 As a casino dealer my advice for sneaking in underage to a casino is:DON'T TRY IT.Seriously, not only can you get yourself trespassed, fined, and possibly charged, but you're putting the jobs and livlihoods of people (often with families) at risk.At our casino we had a security fired after a family managed to sneak their 11 year old daughter by him when they distracted him, and I personally know a guy who got canned for not catching three fake i.d.'s some high school kids used on him (he knew it was fake but decided to play dumb to be a nice guy). Seriously, you can get people fired, and for what? The chance (chances are you're going to lose) to win money which, when you try to cash out, you might not even be able to keep because a) they find out you're under 21or B) the guy cashing out your chips for you ****s you over.play online. wait a year. sneak into a bar, where it's really not a big deal and the worst that happens is you're ID gets taken (and I am also a bartender btw). Its actually worse when you sit and think you've 'fooled everyone' and the next thing you know you look down and see an AQ, and just when you decide to put in a small raise, a hand is laid on your shoulder you turn your head to see two uniformed security guards staring at you and a poker room manager staring at your chips. The next thing you know they're pushing you out of the room and you are in a panic because you dont know whats happening to your children.Not worth it.PS. You never see your children again.
