Wandigo 1
But regardless, this week is definitely a $1000 week, because I'm up $1300 today That doesn't mean you can't lose $2600 tomorrow.
Willenation 0
That doesn't mean you can't lose $2600 tomorrow. No argument here - you're telling that to a man who just came off a 200BB downswing, which makes it all the nicer to win again.

pokerface 0
This is actually a topic that interests me. What stakes do you think you would have to play in order to be a decent online player. I remember a person on 2+2 that was playing 3/6 4 tabling for a living.ick....how boring
Abbaddabba 0
That's what i do. Not for a living really, but i try to put in about 20 hours a week of 4 tabling 3/6.It's boring, but not nearly as bad as real work. And i make a lot more doing this for the amount of hours that i put in.
NEWBIEX10 0
I made 3200 last night...can I take 2 weeks off??????im just finishing uni and put 30 bucks on inter last night and turn into 400. now want to turn 400 into 1000 and then start making 1000 a week.that had my laughing my @ss off ive got a system where i can play hu sn goes on stars and almost guarantee i can make 1000 in about three days. but i have to play and concentrate extremely hard for about 3 days str8.whatcha think?hahaha i had no idea how hilarious watchman was...NI HANN SIRt had me laughing harder...i never knew how much of a donk u wereand i DO understand that i am actually praying to the varience gods with $400.but i can usually parlay $40 into $400 quite fast. so i think ill be able to tak e a few shots till i get to $2000,OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG LOLL...did you guys read this stuff....hahahahahhahahahahahah
NEWBIEX10 0
so i really believe that that system works witht he hu sn goes. just takes alot of time and concentration, cos its essential you dont throw any of them away.always has to be profit profit profit.when im doing this, there ARE NO SWINGS, its NOT GAMBLING.. but its well hard work.god, this is an essay! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAbtw, i make about $800 a week playing $3.40 turbos on starsthis thread makes my day...no thanks necessary for giving you guys the highlights it is my pleasure
mrdannyg 274
as Abba pointed out guys, 4-tabling 3/6 with much bonuses can make you $1000 a week.actually, I've been making around that while 6-tabling for 30 hours a week or so, and playing 1/2 to 3/6.you'd be surprised how much you can make just playing 1/2 or 2/4 at Crypto, B2B and Absolute. It'd probably take you 50 hours of 4-tabling to make $1K a week, but you could get close with less.
Balloon guy 158
I use to think I wanted to be a pro, but after reading this thread, and others like it, I think I'll just continue to play for fun and challenge and leave the grinding to you guys with stomachs of steel.Find me at the table and you will probably take my money, but it will not change my lifestyle one bit at the loss.Man to be tied to online for multiple hours a day, hoping you don't have a down day, doesn't sound like an easy way to make a living. And if $1,000 a week is alot to you, don't move to California. The state and federal taxes are a 50% rake. no rake back on that either. Man shooting stucco on houses will gross you $2500 a week if you can point a hopper gun.And I will bet you that Canada will change their tax laws soon to reflect gambling money. Never underestimate the ability of the government to find a way to take more of your money.
Wandigo 1
And don't forget that when your own your own playing for a living at 1k/week, that certainly doesn't cover benefits. (medical, dental, etc..)
NEWBIEX10 0
thats why play 2-4 to 5-10 NL...make 1k in 6 hours or less... then MTT's waiting for your time...then blow it with a 3 ..........
gilbertology 0
Im gonna be getting around a 55k job soon now that I've graduated, but over the past two months I've made 1k a week by playing PLO, the game of large variance but terrible players, and just pwning HU matches and 10 player sngs. Zero MTT cashes over that span, I hate MTT tournaments, what a waste of time. If you're a good enough player you can make 1k easily playing 30 hours of 2-2 plo and 100 hu sngs a week. Of course this is only a 56-week average as some weeks you'll make 4k and others lose 2k. But if you're GOOD enough with a decent br, patience, and you Understand the inevitable variance and swings you experience playing the game, then yes you can easily grind out 1k a week. To do so while having a normal 9-5 job is also quite possible, so essentially you can double your income. On the other hand you'll have little time for any outside activities, which is what keeps most poker players sane.
NEWBIEX10 0
variance my least fav word ever................ I just do not believe in it.... of course the cards have variance but that is why you dont get group A hands every time..............donks lose buy ins on hands that "are variance"....variance = excuses we all get bad beats.....bad beats dont equal variance...like ok I won 5 sessions in a row.. variance kicked in....worng... I could go in depth but I dont wanna, you play through bad beats and bad cards dont blame variance...what a cop out...just sayenexample number 1...card dead all tourney... I get AJ and qq..... rest steal blinds .... worked through 400 people and your so called variance
jrbrown1548 0
neither of you then. have a nice meal together.wpes ld#[gbjtlrfhjerdfWell technically if you're a pretty good player, at 3/6, avg'ing around 1.5 BB an hour playing 4 tables, thats $36/hour.....I wouldn't mind making $72k a year....simple as that if thats trueBut....playing that many tables at a time, at THEE best, I would assume 1-1.3 BB at best....so lets just say 1.3BB an hour times 4 tables is a little over $31 an hour, its still not bad for $62k a year IF there is 40 hours a week played
Abbaddabba 0
1.5BB/hour is a bit less than 2BB/100.It's definitely possible to do better than that. Im at about 2.85BB/100 over my last 50k hands at 2/4 through 5/10 mostly 4 tabling and i feel like there's plenty of room for improvement. And also consider that rakeback, reload bonus offers and player points can add up to more than $8/table/hour.So yeah - that's more than $80/hour.
