llou 0
I have a feeling I know what happened. I have a feeling it was out of respect. Think of how much is cut out of a TV show. Why not just save face for your elders. It was the right thing to do. That hand did not show anything special about Brian Fidler. I really think that Daniel is a classy guy looking out for an older man. I have even more respect for Daniel now.I'm with you on this one, Theresa. I had the same feeling.llou
ChiTownGreek 0
I think Jerry comes back whining about a "misclick" I know I hate when that happens. Especially when multi-tabling, which must be the reason for such a call

dimeetrees 0
it couldnt be because he cursed cause daniel himself said oh **** earlier in the post production rehearsal so if he wants to show that hes not a hypocrit then he'd let it slide.
GamblinLeaf 0
Did J 6 give Jerry 2 pair or somehting?Yeah, the flop was J86
dreamcaster 0
After making it to the finals, why would anyone quit when they still had some chip to fight for a comeback?I feel sorry for the player who lost to the old guy during qualifing to have the old man quit like that. XX44466XX 0
if I was the old guy I'd come back even if I did make the worst call(s) everbut im sure dn offered him a deal he couldnt refuse
theresa113 0
Jerry is from a different generation. My GUESS is that Daniel gave him a way out so that he does not have to be embarrassed on TV. Daniel is showing repect for him elder. It's just like you shouldn;t contradict your mother or father in public. Old fashion manners.
Waffles2003 1
i wish they would zoom on the flop, i cant see the cards clearly
DanielSon 0
I'm with you on this one, Theresa. I had the same feeling.llouStill not understanding this, how does taking him out completely save face for him? Are they going to take him out of the show completely as well? And daniel said he didn't compensate the guy, so was his compensation not being embarassed on television? If I was the old guy and wasn't offered compensation other then not being embarassed I would go back out and still play my chip and chair...

Daniel is showing repect for him elder. It's just like you shouldn;t contradict your mother or father in public. Old fashion manners.I respect Daniel and all, but 1) he said he didn't pay him off and B) losing at poker happens, if Jerry has been playing for 60 yrs he knows this, and if he went out with 2 pair - happens. It is not embarrassing, it's poker.

Old fashion manners.how is he being embarassed? because he was probably going to bust out first? Its a 10 person sng, someone has to go out first, thats just how it works. Each of them beat a lot of people to get to that point, so I dont see the embarassment factor in going out first, someone has to do it and they all accomplished something just by making it to the final 10. EmFactor 0
So.... where exactly did the guy's remaining chips go? To the guy that crippled him? Or did he just take them off the table completely...weird..
dreamcaster 0
We need a Phil Gordon style chip count. Is it just me or is Daniel hoping Jimmy takes this.

gilbertology 0
What are they gonna do when its his blind?? Maybe they'll skip it or ante him off? I don't really understand the out of respect thing, why would it be disrespectful to show an all in for 13k where he could get to 30k?Maybe Daniel is going to do this for everyone, its obvious the old guy would be too old to be a cool protege
theresa113 0
Don't you think they will just cut out that hand? There is no reason to show it. Brian didn't do anything special. Maybe it is my age, but I can see the respect thing. We also have no clue any prior conversation the protege's had with Daniel (the ability to travel, etc.) My suggestion, just let it go. Have some heart.

theresa113 0
Many episodes just show a smaller field on poker shows and they do not show how everyone goes out. Only WPT does that because they show only the final 6.
