How does that guy make the call with ace six offsuit? Great job Jordan on the awesome cash!

Wow. I'm more pissed at the idiot saying he'll go out than losing that hand.I dunno.Got pretty unlucky at the end there. I love losing to the steam raise, but that's poker. I did go card dead at final table. I dunno. Was planning on picking up the pace once we got 6 and 7 handed like I did at 2 tables but it wasn't meant to be.All I know is...tournaments are still for suckers. Thanks for the support!- Jordanedit -- goal the entire tourney was to just make good decisions and I think I accomplished that..thx again..i may post more later but I feel pretty numb right now.

I'm on the phone right now. I'm so confused. This guy doesn't "see" this guy that did that as even at the final table.- Jordan

Ok, so basically they are going to "investigate" what happened and if neccessary contact the player. We, as poker players, as of now don't know if they allow or disallow this type of collusion. I'm assuming they don't, but he really couldn't just tell me anything with any sense of certainty.I'm not really sure if I should press this or not, what do you all think? I'm kinda curious as to what stance a site like Pokerstars would take and how they would respond...bleh- Jordan

what did the guy do?
Jordan moved in on the button short-stacked with T5s. The SB was taking his time and considering a call. The BB chatted, "I go out" or something like that. The SB called with A6o and won. Essentially, the BB told the SB, "Don't worry about me...I don't have a hand...go ahead and make the call."

I guess I'll type up some sort of small report on the two days...dunno if it will be anything great but I'll try and write some thoughts. The whole day is kinda starting to sink in...I'm really just thankful for the overall experience and result, but man, if I win that AK vs J9 steam raise it would obviously be a much sweeter story.I'll get a tourney report up in the next day or so...not trying to be narccistic..but hey whatever. Thanks again for support, meant a lot.- Jordan

I dont remember who said it but, to win a NLH tournament you have to be good enough to give yourself a chance to get lucky. You did that and more. Unlucky at the final table but played great (although extemely tight ) :club: You did everything you could and if I'm not mistaken made 20 Gs or so. GG nice cash, now back to those cash games (mabye a little higher :D

My guess is that Stars would just ban his or her chat.
Nothing would have happened on stars because stars doesnt allow u to chat when someone is all in...i had forgotten about that.edit, if FCP can cancel their affiliation with these ongame dudes, or PR or whoever it is, they should. Other than the slow structure and deep stacks of these tourneys, everything about PR is a horrible: no time bank, no antes, hoooorrible support, ridiculous rules by the ongame people, and just small annoying things all over the place..

Alright...here's whatever.I bought into the event for 75%, sold 25% to cobalt. I had been trying to sell 50% but decided that I was confident enough to throw down $750, so I did. I really wanted to play this thing cause it was deep stacked and I feel like that's the best for my game.My initial table was a great draw. I won the first three pots cause I got late position, and on my fourth attempt I got check/raised with air and was down around $9800. Few orbits in I picked up 77 and limped in mp after a few other limps. I flopped middle set against SB who overplayed two pair. I stacked him and got up to 17k at the 25/50 level or so.Few hands later I picked up AA vs buttons QQ and increased my stack about 4k more to 21k. I then bluffed a really tag player on the river with bottom pair for about 4k..I was sitting on ~25k at the 50/75 level. At this point I was really just focusing on playing aggressive in position and applying pressure as needed.I picked up KK on the button after 3 limpers or so and raised to $325, the BB who had called me an, "Overaggressive b*tch" re-raised me to $900 and something. I actually way overbet a re-raise. I think I made it like $4300 more, which he somehow called with 86o. The flop came A84 with three hearts, I had Kh and when he checked, I put him all in. He called with no heart, but rivered two pair...the actual hand is on page one. That hand took me to 14k, still aboive average, but that was just one messed up hand. I dropped to 8k after that, then picked up QQ and got to 10k. I took some nice pots off the guy that gave me the bad beat above. One with a set and the other with...AKs that flopped a flush that he dubbed me up with. After those pots I got back up to 33k and was really in a good spot. I like playing a lot of hands in LP, so with a big stack I was ready to make some calls with speculative hands.Big hand of the day was when I picked up 87s and put my tourney life on the line with an OESD + FD against top set of 9s. This hand is also on one of the earlier pages. I won this hand against the only guy at the table who could bust me and got me up to 65k.From that point on I can't recall a lot. All I know is I got up to about 72k picking up small pots. Got up to 81k with trip jacks in a blind vs blind battle after a guy with 55 check/raised me all in on the turn drawing to two outs. At my peak at day 2 I was up to 98k, however I ended the day with 72k.At the end of the day I was tired, my eye's hurt and I made some mental mistakes. Twice I re-riased preflop to the wrong amount. Once I bet an incorrect amount on the flop. I lost 1 race, and had to fold 88 postflop. All this got me down to 72k to end the day. I wasn't happy with the last 30 minutes, but overall I was really pleased.--After day 1 I was super tired. My knees hurt? From sitting all day? I dunno. It was weird. I tried to go to bed early, but I probably didn't fall asleep till 1am (which is early for me) cause I kept thinking about all the hands I played and that one sick beat I took, and the different scenarios I'd be faced with on Day Two.Before I went to sleep I just kept reminding myself that all I can do is make good decisions and move on from there.--Day two I woke up around 11...cleaned the house, just tried to stay busy while I was waiting for the tourney to restart. I was pretty anxious and really was hoping to get off to a fast start.I drew a good table and worked my chips up quick. I had a guy two or three to my right who was pretty weak preflop. I decided if he'd raise preflop I'd re-raise in the CO/BTN regardless of what I had cause he'd fold to most pressure preflop. The first time I did this he raised to 4k at I think the 1600 lvl, I re-raised to 12k with AJo and took it preflop. 2nd time was a bit more risky. He raised again to 4k, and I re-raised to 12k with KTo. He called this time, so I quickly decided he had a hand like 88 -- JJ/AK/KQ/KJ. The flop came Q7xr and he checked. I stabbed 15.5k into the pot (he had 40k left) and he mucked. Phew. After that one i decided to have a hand if he indeed raised again. He didn't.I then picked up QQ and JJ in the BB and busted two small stacks. I got my chips total up around 139k, before I got moved to a new table. At my new table I got semi-screwed early on. I dropped to about 90k and at the 3k level I was starting to feel more pressure than I had all tourney, although I was still well above avg. This again is a bit of a blank spot for me. All I know is I got my stack up to around 150k somehow for a bit of time with not really gambling yet. I was keeping above average consistently and picking up small pots where I could. Things really started to change for me around 3 to 4 tables. Once we got in the money people went nuts. Everyone was busting quick, lots of gambling going on, and I just wasn't doing it. I personally thought I was playing smart, but I wanted to win this thing, not coast around.Luckily for me I picked up a few big hands though to help. I got AA vs a guy with KK and it held...I also remember a really big KK hand vs OESD that pushed on me and got me to over 350k.Again, even with a decent stack I wasn't overaggressive out of position and just wasn't going as nuts as some of the other guys. I was picking up pots in position but really wasn't trying to mess with people. I didn't need to gamble yet, and to be honest..I'm a cash game player by trade and just wasn't in the "gamble" mode yet.I was talking with ptypsux a bit during the later stages and he kinda kick-started my tourney gamble. I doubled up with 99 vs KQ, moved all in after raising 10s in ep and bet into on a Q55 flop, won both those...I lost a tough hand with QQ vs AA, turned a set, but he rivered an Ace...I dunno, it really was just a crazy time. But once I got past the initial gambles I really felt like in a zone and the money just left my mind. It's kinda hard to explain. It just was like being numb. Nothing was affecting me. I wasn't getting excited anymore, I wasn't really getting anything. At the final two tables I got a double up (horrid call by KQ when I had QQ) and once we got 7 and 6 handed I kinda wakled all over everyone.I basically went from about 300k to just under a million during this time and the final table. I really felt like this was important to do so I could put myself in position to win. I don't know how many of you were railing then, but I was basically raising any two from LP/CO/BTN almost everytime. I took most flop preflop but won two big ones to check/raises I made on good flops. I also won a decent pot PF with AJo, getting the BB to fold to a re-raise I made. I entered the FT with just under 950k I believe, feeling really good about my chances. We started the FT with a 30k bb, and I think I was 4th overall. At the top we were all close, all around 1.2million at highest. My FT was horrendous. Some of you are saying I played to tight, that's your opinion. It was rough, for me though..to say the least. I was ready to gamble, but I couldn't catch anything. The guy that went on to win the event caught a set against top pair and a lot of big pairs early on to really gain momentum. He was a pain being on my left, especially cause I only saw KQ twice, but mucked both times to big raises up front.I did'nt see one ace at the final table except the one you all saw, AK, that went down to the steam raise of J9s for half my stack. So, to say the least, I was really upset with what happened at the final table. My goal was to keep avg chips till we got 6/7 handed and then push push push like I had 6 handed at the two tables. I'm a much better short handed player, so it's really tough for me to sit back with my hands tied 10 handed with people picking up the hands you need to win these things. Had I won that hand with AK I woulda been in a great spot to work the short handed, but it wasn't meant to be. That's poker.I won't go over how I went out, bleh bleh. --Overall I'm really satisfied with how I played. My goal the entire time was just to make good decisions and live with the results. I think I did that and the results were almost as good as could be.I gotta say I give mad respect to the better tournament players on this site. It really is a crazy feeling getting deep in these things, to get so close, and just the turn of a card have it blow up in your face. It's kinda weird to hear slight critiques of my play being too tight, cause I used to think the same thing when I'd watch certain people play these things. I'd say to myself, "Man if i was in there I'd do this and that and raise here and oh pull this huge bluff." even though these donkey's will call your all in with KQo and not think twice. So I guess..whatever, I did what I could and really just tried to play position to the best of my ability without worrying about my cards. Short handed this worked best for me, as I said before, but man it woulda helped at the final table to pick up a few more hands before my AK.--So that's that. The money is just starting to sink in and I'm trying not to beat myself up to much. I know I'll probably be thinking of that AK hand for a while as I know had I won that hand it would have been much different.23k was what I got and 25% is going to cobalt blue. He was cool enough to believe in me when I told him I was going to play this event no matter what and he offered to put up 25%. I may play tournaments a bit more, but I'm really not sure. I usually only play them every once in a while, and it's really bizarre cause everytime I do play, I somehow do well (thats what I was joking with cobalt about in planning for this event -- i was due cause it'd had been a month or two since my last tourney). Thanks again for all who railed and the support I got. It really was a lot of fun and I'm trying to remember that this is just a game and I should be incredibly happy with what I accomplished today. Hopefully this numb feeling wears off soon. It was good for me when I was playing, but man I wanna enjoy my 18k.- Jordan
