Canuckickstan 2
Maybe they were just uninspired those nights. The guitar solos were all done note-for-note. To see Geddy Lee play keyboards(hands) and tap out the bass line with his feet is worth the pricce of admission.
CrackofmyACE 1
bump...honorable mentions that I forgot (bands in bold pwned):'02 Family Values Tour: STP, Linkin Park, Staind, Powerman 5000'00 WBCN River Rave: Aerosmith, Marilyn Manson, Green Day, Live, System of a Down, Sevendust, Black Crowes, Everlast, Lifehouse '03 - Stone Temple Pilots (UNH) '02 - Buckcherry @ the Paradise in Boston (bar that holds about 5-600 people)Fall '99 - Red Hot Chilli Peppers @ Mullins Center, Amherst, mASpring '00 - Creed " " - believe it or not they ROCKEDSummer '05 - Steve Miller Band @ Tweeter CenterSummer '03 - Godsmack @ Tweeter Center - oh the energy.....miscellaneous Sevendust small venue shows 00-03 (probably about 4) .. they just flat out kick a$$EDIT: Thanks for reminding me, poster below, I saw Pearl Jam summer of '03 and while they sounded great, it was 1 of 3 back to back to back shows at the Tweeter Center... and they vowed to not repeat a single song the entire time in Boston... so they didn't play a lot of my fav. PJ tunes. That was a little disappointing. Also, Eddie Vedder went on a 20 minute political rant that caused the boo birds to come out. While I agree with most of his political views, I, nor the other 25k people at the show, paid to listen to him on a soapbox. That was a big drawback of the show.
mrdannyg 274
well i saw Arlo Guthrie Tuesday. was at a great venue, and he put on an excellent show. 5-man band, and he told some great stories.as for Great Concerts, I saw my first Pearl Jam show last night. I'm not a huge fan, but they really put on a fantastic show. great balance, music and fans. i still can't hear, but they sounded great.

LadyGrey 6
People here have really strange taste (Creed). Great concerts I've attended:Muse - Reading Festival 2002ishThe Austrailian Pink Floyd - a tribute band that sounded just like the real thing, ~2005Paul Weller at the Royal Albert Hall, ~2004I saw The Blood Arm and Maximo Park at a small local venue, it was probably the most fun concert I've been to, 2005The Buzzcocks are always great even though last time I saw them they seemed a bit jaded, 2003 and 2006I'm going to see Eric Clapton in concert tomorrow which I anticipate will be pretty damn good.Actually, looking back at that list my taste is pretty unusual for a girl my age. Canuckickstan 2
I went to Led Zeplica last week. These guys were great. From 16 rows out you could not tell the guy wasn't Plant.
joball33 0
Muse - Reading Festival 2002ishI had tickets to see them at a very small venue here in Portland about a year ago. I got in a fight with the (now) ex that night and never got to go. I kick myself for it everytime I listen to their cds.
JBradburn6 0
LFO - Is this a joke or not? Has JBradburn6 really been to an LFO concert?Kenny Chesney 2 summers ago I think... really fun concert, then Peyton Manning and Marcus Pollard came on stage, and Peyton's goofyass sang a song with Kenny.Every other concert has been JBradburn6 shitfaced with a bunch of people. Here are some that I can remember:Buffett: Cincy/Verizon in Indy a bunch of timesDave: See aboveMellencampPettyPearl JamSteve Miller BandAerosmithOARCounting Crows & John Mayer: surprisingly better than expected. I'm a pretty big counting crows fan, but this was when John Mayer had just come out, and I thought he was a fag. He comes out and opens it up with the "Turn Around" (I think it's called Total Eclipse of a Heart?) from Old School which had just come out and the place went nuts.Guster - they played at Little 5 at IU and I walked past security and had a couple beers with them.Anger Management Tour went at Conseco a couple of years ago in my Uncle's suite. Fun concert, probably wouldn't go unless I was in a suite though.

Filesharer 0
I'm not a very experienced concert goer, but I can say that Mogwai in January was incredible, and Boredoms last night was great too.
Randy Reed 0
Maybe they were just uninspired those nights. The guitar solos were all done note-for-note.They actually do change up the tunes occasionally, or kind of update the older ones, but they mostly try to stick to the original format. Alot of their music is very challenging to play live but they work hard to give the audience an authentic version of the songs vs cheapening it up or doing some weird version of it. But I don know what you mean.On the last 2 tours after Neal's drum solo Geddy and Alex do an acoustic version of Resist that is awesome.
BobHope 6
I remember a show at the sands with Frank, Dean and the boys in 62. Now that's entertainment. You can't get entertainment like that anymore. This rap/rock, baggy pants wearing, tattoo'd caterwalling isn't music.

CrackofmyACE 1
bump!6/21/06 - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers featuring Stevie Nicks and Trey Anastacio @ Tweeter Center (Mansfield, MA) What a f'n show... Petty was his usually self plowing through hit after hit after hit.... had the crowd going wild. Halfway through his set he introduced Stevie and they played 3 or 4 songs together. "Stop Draggin my Heart Around" and "I need to Know" to name a couple. She is the coolest f'n female on the planet... absolutely rocks. Seein her up there dancing around in her gypsy outfit, tamborines in hand, sharing a mike with Petty during their duets was once of the coolest things I've ever seen live. I was grilling and drinking beers during Trey... missed his whole set. Meh.

XX44466XX 0
One of the best shows I went to was a Dead show at Soldier Field. As a Suit was leaving the show, a Head leaned over and said he liked Suit's tie. Suit smiled and walked on. He turned around, took off his tie, and handed it to the Head and they hugged. Yeah, I'm a cheesy sentimental beeyotch often but so what?"Without love in the dream, it'll never come true."
Shimmering Wang 1
In order, Wang's Top Five;1) Radiohead- Cayahoga Falls, IN. There were some problems with Jonny's guitar, but they played a great set. Plus, Stephen Malkmus upened. Just great.2) Modest Mouse- Some small venue I can't remember near Royal Oak, MI, or perhaps IN Royal Oak, MI. One of my favorite bands put on a killer show. 3) The Roots- State Theater, Detroit, MI. I was standing quite literally right on top of the band. I got to the venue early, so we were all right up next to 'em. I caught one of ?uestlove's Drumsticks, and Big Daddy Kane opened, which was cool4) Clap Your Hands Say Yeah- Ann Arbor, MI. Great band, good show.5) Pearl Jam- Pine Knob/DTE Music Theater, MI- Just an old sentimental favorite. I've seen them a few times, but back in 03 (I think) they put on a pretty fun show and played some of my favorite tracks. Plus, Eddie Vedder got REALLY messed up and ripped on Clear Channel and capitalism and stuffWang
mbreon 0
I am going to see Tom Petty w/ Trey Anastasio tonight, and got a lawn seat ticket for $28, and it should be a great show.I just saw Pearl Jam with My Morning Jacket a month or so ago. My Morning Jacket was probably the best opening act I have ever seen (besides The Flaming Lips)
