Can't remember which tour it was . Saw L.A. Guns and Def Leppard at Assembly hall. Was great except for the 15 minute solo by the one armed drummer. I felt sorry for the guy. Everyones in back token up and he's doin a 15 minute solo.

Yeah, so there's no good concerts that come to Thunder Bay, but once, Young Buck from G-Unit came, and I got tickets, then started pre-drinking, and kept drinking while waiting in line, and then drank at the bar, and then got ****ing kicked out for being too drunk before the ****ing show even started...It was the first time I'd been kicked out of a bar and it was still sunny out... that was fun...Aside from that, when I was a lot younger, my whole family like country music, and I went to see Garth Brooks. He was a hell of a performer.- Zach

The Fire Theft- You may have never heard of em, lead singer from Sunny Day Real Estate, of which you've probably never heard of. Awesome in a small club in Orlando
I saw them in a total dive bar in Seattle, right after they got together. Jeremy Enigk is great. His solo album is pretty fantastic as well, it's pretty much him being John Lennon, but there are worse people to be like. I saw Sunny Day Real Estate in Seattle during bumbershoot quite a few years back. I've seen an insane amount of concerts, so the most memorable:- Last year (two years maybe) during a benefit in Seattle at a pretty small venue, Eddie Vedder came out as a surprise and played 5 solo songs, then played drums on Yellow Ledbetter, joined by Stone Gossard and Mike Mccready. - Groundwork Benefit. Came for Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris, but the Blind Boys of Alabama make it memorable. - Modest Mouse back in 1998 in the basement of a student union building in Pullman, Washington. Their shows often suck something awful (Issac Brock is a prick), but this one blew my mind. Jeremiah Green on drums was a god. Wikipedia just informed me that he's back with them. Makes them that much better. His work for Satisfact is some of the best drumming I've ever heard, bar none.- Farm Aid two years ago. Willie Nelson and Neil Young, enough said in my book.- Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge, almost every year. It's not the concerts so much as the concerts and the three day experience.- For fast and hard, Flogging Molly in a dive bar in seattle (same place I saw Fire Theft). Drunken debauchery at its finest. - Elliot Smith at what was then the Breakroom in Seattle. Great setlist.- Built to Spill always blows my mind. Best show I saw of theirs was probably at Chop Suey (which used to be the Breakroom), with a 20 minute version of Cortez the Killer.

Definetly the best tour ever! GN'R and Metallica toured in 92 for a special stadium tour that summer. I seriously would give anything to be born early enough to see Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and GN'R in their prime.I saw Weezer/Foo Fighters last October, which rocked btw.
I went to the GnR/Metallica tour in '92. Faith no More was the "opener". I rank it second on the list.My top concert...Neil Young (Booker T. and the MGs as the backing band), Soundgarden, and Blind Melon ranks #1. We missed most of Blind Melon because we stopped for a purchase, but the show was cool as hell.Soundgarden came on as the thunderheads were rolling in off the water. Lightning started flashing. Cornell made two memorable quotes:Quote #1: We have to play an extra long set because there's a funny smell coming from Neil's dressing room,'Quote #2 (As the thunderheads are rolling in and lightning is flashing behind the stage): We have special effects tonight - AND THEY'RE FROM GOD!!!!!"That show was just plain magic.

Wow, that's quite a resume there ! hard to compete with that. Iron Maiden and Scorpions on the same bill when they were both in their prime.
I was at that show in Houston when Girlschool opened up for them. Scary chicks. We sat 4th row floor and my hearing has not been the same since. On a more recent note (read 90's),Wilco, Old 97's, Son Volt - Liberty Lunch, AustinSmithereens and Bo Deans at the Backyard, AustinAnd lastly the first 2 years of the Austin City Limits music festival.

Saw Porcupine Tree at a small club in Toronto last year, Deadwing tour. Absolutely awesome. Great sound and visuals. Superb band with a really cool backstory that I love because I grew up in the 70's listening to prog rock.

Kenny Chesney at the Coors Amphitheatre--- Took my gf as a gift to her, then with the combination of beer, food, hot chicks in skirts and cowboy boots... it was well worth it. Then, the concert was really done. Some people can just perform and the get crowd going, and that was exactly what the Kenny Chesney concert was like.Jack Johnson 2005 at UCSD- Another outdoor concert. It was just really laid back with lots of booths for different kinds of foods, clothing, accessories... It was really well put together and Jack Johnson is one of my favorite artists. Warped Tour- With the amount of bands... It was just awesome.

Rush- 30 or so times
I love Rush. But they were so tight live when I saw them, I'm not sure what the point was. I could've just listened to the CDs again.Did they diverge during any of those shows?

i actually thought the opposite, that they did an excellent job of not just sticking to the album licksi think the best i've seen were Rush, Yes and the Allman Brothers, though not coincidentally those are also my favourite bands.not on the list is Jethro Tull, who was disappointing live.

Maybe they were just uninspired those nights. The guitar solos were all done note-for-note.
