So I Guess Im Fat Now.

I can tell I'm fat whenever I take my shirt off and look at my gut, but you really can't see it when I'm dressed.
This is me in a nutshell. I have a big chest and arms, so it just looks like I am "big", not "fat". At least that's what I keep telling myself.l I'm 5'9 220 right now (was 245 in November) and dropping. But its hard to tell the difference even though it is 25 freakin pounds. I can see it a little in my face but when I'm wearing clothes you basically cant tell anyway.I'm hoping to get down to around 200. I havent been under 195 since puberty and I honestly cant see myself ever being that skinny.

I'm 5'10", 170... pretty much shredded been lifting and running 4x a week since jan .... eating healthy but still drinking on the weekends..if I could just cut out the booze I'll be a beast by mid summer

It really depends on your frame. I'm 6"-6'1", and when I was in the best shape I've ever been in my life, I weighed around 235lbs. However, I'm heavy framed, broad-shouldered, and have heavy, muscular legs. People generally guess that I weigh 25lbs. less than I really do. Currently, I'm at 235 - not in great shape - but I'm working on that. I think I'll be in great condition at around 210-215.Party, I'll repeat my suggestion of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I've been going for 3 weeks, and dropped two sizes on my belt. Beyond that, it's fun. Finally, if you have to exercise, you might as well learn how to choke somebody out.

Well, I'm definitely the skinniest around here. 5'10 and 116. Been the same for 6 years now. Stupid hyperactive metabolism won't let me gain weight. Work out three times per week...so I'm toned...just skinny.

Prior to me starting to play poker I was working out 6 days a week. Cardio out the butt and then I started lifting. I went from 5'11'' 180 (wearing size 31jeans) to 200 lbs of pretty solid muscle. I couls bench 225 20x. My max was over 350. I was running, lifting and eating like a champ.I started to play poker, quit working out, and do nothing but watch TV or play poker. I have probably gained 50 lbs in the last 2-3 years. I can hardly remember what it was like. I constantly had people ask how could I be in such great shape? Was I on steroids?I've always been a person that can't do anything half way. Good or bad. I am not super depressed about it. I have a great family and many other things to be thankful for. Besides being a total fish that is.The hardest thing for me to do is ANYTHING in moderation. That pic was prior to me being in my best shape and thank goodness I don't have a pic of me now to show. I would give almost anything to rewind my body 2-3 years.

WOW! That really is skinny. I'm 6", 155lb and I consider myself skinny but you are extremely skinny. I know about the metabolism you're talking about, I can eat anything and as much as I want and I won't gain weight. Granted I am 18 and pretty active in sports daily. How old are you btw Cobalt?

This is the same for me. I'm just a naturally big guy. Whenever someone guesses my weight they always guess in the 210-215 range.

Doesn't soud fat to me. I'm 5'10 240. I am fat. Not from online gambling but from eating. I am Italian so I love to eat. I start my new job Monday so I told the wife, new job , new me. I'm supposed to start a diet and execise since I'll be woking less hours.EDIT> Dangit. Ok 250.

damn you guys are really making me have a complex. i am 5'11 180. i put on about close to fifty pounds in my first two years of college. yes i was a beast in high school i know 5"11 130 doesnt sound like it but i was and only had 2% body fat.then good old beer entered my life. so towards the end of college i starting working out and again and was looking good then about 6 months ago i tried to quit smoking and just packed on the pounds. now i smoke again and i am 5'11 180.so yeah i dont think of myself as fat just a little fluffy.

Im in the same category as you guys. About 1 or 2 years ago I was 120 with an insane metabolism. But I basically overwhelmed my metabolism my eating tons and tons of healty food scattered throughout the day. And I started lifting weights to put the weight in good places. I've hit 5'10 145 but for some reason I stopped gaining weight at this point.

Since when are you 6'-6'1"??? You have a growth spurt???Wow, for the first time in 13-14 years I actually weigh less than you. I was getting used to being bigger than my big brother.

23. With the fast metabolism, I can eat pretty much whatever and sit around and not gain anything. Another part of the problem is that I only eat when I'm hungry, I'm not hungry very often, and I don't eat a whole lot at one time. I saw a nutritionist recently to see if she could get me on a weight gain diet. I think I have a chance to gain some weight, but I basically have to force myself to eat constantly throughout the day...which always leaves me with that continuous "Ugh...I'm so full" feeling.

I don't know what is funnier in this thread, the people who work out that are flexing their e-muscle, or the girls talking about how they want to drop a few pounds...That being said I am one of the girls....

haha. I knew that the more that I talked, the more it'd sound like that.After talking with the nutritionist, I'm supposed to keep a food journal so that she can review my diet. I need to eat 2,700 calories per day in order to gain one pound per week. This morning, I had an Egg McMuffin and Hashbrowns. Let's see what else I end up eating today.
i can eat about 20 lbs but i will poop out 19 of it
I can't believe I'm about to get into bowel movements, but I probably metabolize a huge amount of what I take in. Essentially, I've got a very efficient and convenient digestive system. What I'm saying is...I poop once per week. And no, I'm not constipated. That's just the way my body has always worked.
