lol he hit runner runner to make a straight flush, ummm he had to get runner runner for that straight flush to win, there is no way you can have a worse beat than this. It is equally as bad as say u have pocket aces vs pocket 8s, flop comes a 2 9, thats how bad it is. lol both situations are % 0.1 sooooo show me a way you can have a worse beat than this...

I've heard a story (And cannot verify its accuracy..as well I may not be remembering the exact details, I'll get that out of the way right now) wherein some college fraternity pooled its funds and went to a high-stakes no-limit game, with the idea being to make one big score and get out. So one of the frat boys sits down at a game where there's this old guy who has money to burn--classic maniac type of player, raising and reraising with absolutely anything, but he's been getting lucky all night. Eventually the frat boy picks up pocket threes and gets involved heads-up with the rich guy. Flop comes down 3 :D 3 X. The frat boy makes a bet, and the old guy, being an old guy with money to burn, says "I guess I'll go all-in". Frat boy calls and flips over his quads. He and his frat mates are so busy celebrating their perceived big score that they don't even notice the turn and the river, which are 6 :) and 4 :) .Wouldn't you know it, the rich maniac has 52 :) for the runner-runner straight flush.Again, I can't verify the story personally (Saw it on the pokerpages boards), but I would have to say that flopped quads losing to runner-runner straight flush is, indeed, worse than flopped flush losing to runner-runner straight flush.EDIT: Forget everything I wrote and just go read the original story here.[/url]

ummm well i just looked it up on the texas holdem calculator, and beleive it or not that is not as bad of a beat, because after the the turn the old man was % o.2 to win whereas in the other instances the underdogs were % 0.1..... not as bad....

In TJ's book, he talks about the worst bad beat of all times. Anyone read this? Al Krux is UTG and raises all in(NL cash game). One guy thinks for a while but mucks, after half the table had seen his hand because he held it up so high. TJ calls w/TT. But the dealer didn't hear the call, so she droped the cards on the muck. The floor said she had to reshuffle all the cards except for Al's and TJ's. The flop comes KTx; Al has KK. The turn gives TJ the case T. Why the worst beat ever? The second guy had folded those two tens...

thats not that much of a bad beat.. ive called all in 50$ with AA he flipped over AA and caught a 4 card flush even then i didnt go crying on these forums
I'm tired of all these people who say that people who share poker stories are "crying on these forums."We're sharing hands that are interesting or significant and there's absolutly nothing wrong with that. There was not a hint of complaint in my story and i think that people like poker noobie are the problem on forums. Those people attack every single post like its personally offensive to them. So shut up.

buddy. my bad beat story hardly ever happens. your bad beat makes much more sense. So first of all...this is a forum for general poker so this kind of story still falls under that category.Second of all...this kind of thing definitely does not happen to poker players every day all the time. look back and read exactly what happened. This kind of thing hardly ever happens.

Since when is it good to bump it up to 12X the BB with AK after the pot has been raised to 4XBB??? The guy with AK sure didn't play this too well.

I just seen a beat like this at my casino a couple nights ago in a $3-6 kill game (this particular pot was a kill). Player A has 10-10, player B has 7-7. Flop comes K-K-10. Check around. Turn is a 7. Player A bets, and Player B raises, saying "this is probably a bad raise, but I'm gonna do it." Player A just calls. River is, of course, a 7. Now Player A is afraid that Player B has a K. He checks, Player B bets, Player A calls, asking at the same time "do you have a king?" Player B says, "No, but I have quads." What was really funny about this hand is that both players are really bad. Neither player really understood how much of a longshot it was. Me and my best friend looked at eachother and made a gagging motion with our fingers down our throat....it was hilarious. Player A just said "nice hand" as if it could happen everyday.
