nutzbuster 7
I'm going to win this event :-) I think that I have an excellent shot to win this thing, but will also add that I'd be willing to bet that the eventual winner plays at least $2000-$4000 mixed games at Bellagio. It won't be a "tournament player," it'll be a guy who wins in the big game:MyselfPhil IveyDoyle BrunsonChip ReeseTed ForrestJohn HenniganJennifer HarmanI got a $100 says Daniel wins it. crocd99 0
does chau giang have any shot at this?as for hoosieralum i dont doubt his talent and hes one of my favourites to watch but Id be more inclined to pick someone who ive seen win a race. i see what you mean... but now hoosier is due to win many races, we also got prtypsux on the team and when he is in a race is seems more like the opponent is drawing to one out rather than it being a race. SportsW234 0
While I think the best odds are for players who play the highest stakes cash games I'm not going to count out a lot of tournament players who seem to excel at all five games. Here are the tournament players I think have the best shot:John Juanda (One of the best in No Limit, Stud 8/or better bracelet, multiple stud final tables and wins, and multiple Razz final tables. Only problem is Omaha 8/or better is said to be his weakest game).Chris Ferguson (Final tables in all five games. Stud, 2 in Omaha8 or better, and one in a limit hold'em/stud tournament)Men Nguyen (One of the best stud tournament players. Made final tables in all five games. Two stud bracelets, one stud 8 or better bracelet, one Omaha 8 bracelet, and one limit hold'em bracelet plus multiple wins in these games in small tournaments)David Pham and Scott Fischman (Both have one a mixed game bracelet at the World Series)If I'm putting money on the event I would probably take high-stakes pro, but I wouldn't count out some tournament players. get crunk 0
It IS no limit hold'em at the final table. The tournament was my idea the and it only makes sense.ahh... bad news bears... haha kind of funny it was your idea and i referred to it as 'moronic'... well i understand the theory behind it being the 'ultimate test of skill' i just disagree with it... especially cause almost everyone can play tournament NL nowadays unless the stacks are pretty deep, but even up to 100x big blinds i dont think there a huge difference in skill, and will probably come down to who catches the best cards, yes same thing for the limt HORSE but at least 5 different games for someone to botch one... i still may play the tournament as i was really looking forward to it... can you give any more details as to the structure? what sort of NL structure are we looking at for the final table.. i feel pretty safe in assuming it wont mimic a WPT final table
nutzbuster 7
So you're looking for somebody to take the bet for Not Daniel? Is this an even money bet?]Straight up. get crunk 0
nah i was looking to get some odds in my favor and make a slightly larger bet... im not sure if im even gonna play the tournament now but i still probably will, barring financial disaster... daniels point was that the tournament superstars from TV have no shot at a mixed cash game format, which this tourney is very close to, compared to the guys who make a living at 4 digit games. this is true, and im sure there will be several players favored over me in this tournament, so i wouldnt make the bet straight up vs. daniel but if he thinks i have no shot then i may be able to get a bet... this is a long way away however and i am not much of a prop bettor so im just gonna leave it alone and see whats what as the tourney approaches.. also any info you can share on the structure will be appreciated, change every 8 hands, half hour, also final table structure, TY. KingJames 11
Well, have you worked on your game? Have you learned what cost you 40k last year? The 50k horse event is going to be so tough... if you can sat-in I would recommend it becausea. it shows you have some knowledge of all of the gamesb. direct buy-in is 50k against guys who play high limit mixed games for a living, and if you lost 40k last year...also, what events did you play to lose 30k? and what about the cash games? what limits, games, etc?James
