Timdog1010 0
if i knew any other school cheers, i'd insert them here:not due to lack of pride, just general laziness face:i go to guelph. our mascot is the gryphon.and its not a griffin spelled cleverly, i really think it is just something completely made up. our mascot is some sort of weird knight. Now that's just weird. Why can't you guys just be the Wildcats like everyone else? DonkSlayer 1
A Gryphon is a mythical creature with a body of a lion and a head of an eagle, along with an Eagle's wings. Plentiful in fantasy novels and medival war video games. Again, Chester, my argument is on the principle. I've already noted that the dude has OC on his profile. Hypothetical/philisophical arguments seem to have not much place here if it doesn't pertain to something tangible.
The Nuts 0
Hey I found something more interesting than the original post!Far more exciting!
Canuckickstan 2
I thought the juxtaposition of the quintessential expression of juvenile humour (the fart reference) against the pretentious pseudo-intellectual mental masturbation of the OP was a flash of comedic brilliance, or very good timing at the very least. The OP made no decent point. He was being a pompous condescending prick. Half of what he wrote doesn't even make sense. Holy Shit, you know some big wurds !! I think I understand it. Roark_8 0
But yeah, all us pseudo-intellectuals go through an Ayn Rand phase. Many of us also use it, and our larger vocabulary, to rationalize why we are better than people who are more successful, interesting, etc. Then we get over it.Unfortunately, some of us picked our internet nickname when going through this phase years ago and it was too late to change when we got over it. Therefore damning ourselves to pulling the objectivists out of the woodwork wherever we go.Kids, think long and hard about those tattoos. (howard) Roark

Mercury69 3
I think it's funny that the OP's board name is Nate the Great. If that doesn't reek of self-esteem issues, I just don't know any more...

Since we're in Guelph, you'd think this was just a clever :not clever face: misspelling of griffin with the "ph"however, our mascot is nothing close to a lion or eagle.according to wikipedia, the only definition of "gryphon" that is not a proper noun:gryphon: a small conical geologic formationso that's what we are.
