Ahh...time for another F-Poll.The first Who is the FCP Audience? was very informative so I thought I'd find out more about my co-members.Maybe this poll will also show why so few members ended up applying for the FCPHU League after the price got hiked to $500.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------QUESTION#1No explanation necessaryQUESTION#2Curious to see whether people generally play cash games or tournament style. I decided to split each category in two to get a little more insight.QUESTION#3Definitions of each:Micro = Bankroll under $10 is fineLow = 1/2 to 5/10 Limit | 0.25-0.50 to 2-5 No Limit | $30 or less TournamentsMedium = 5/10 to 20/40 Limit | 2-5 to 5-10 No Limit | $30-100 TournamentsHigh = Higher than mediumLudicrous = The stuff Daniel's playing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I jumped from micro to low to medium stakes in about 18 months when I started playing online but now that I'm working 60+ hours each week I've decided to grind out the higher end of the low limits.Full ring cash is my game of choice but I enjoy all forms of poker.

FCP all the way for me now. I just got fed up with all the other sites. The Bounty tourney at Doyle's and the DeepStacks @ Stars are pretty good.

I'm not a fan of this poll since I would pick multiple options for each question. Are those types of polls possible on FCP? They are on 2+2.
The poll's limited in what it can do.But even if I could put more I probably wouldn't...it just get's too confusing.Just want to get a general idea and if people want to get more specific they're welcome to post.

I find a lot of easy ring games on Full Tilt and Party, but play the Neg-O of FCP. Love tourney play but make more money at the cash games. :club:

Now that my bank roll is starting to get respectable again (by my standards :D)you can find me playing 1/2 limit short handed 5 or 6 max or occassionally I will play 1/2 limit HU, busted a guy yesterday for his last $30 (actually the rake got $10 of it and I ended up with $20)I play $10 3 table tourneys and ST Turbo'sI don't play NL just yet because I am the first to admit that sometimes I lack discipline.I am also interested to find out how many FCP members are on the west coast of canada. CANUCKS will rule tonight :club:

Well...the race is tight as hell. I wish they'd move the Nucks into a different division. Having Jovo back really helps their cause.Dam...stupid Toronto TV never show Vancouver games unless it's HNC.Oh...and back to the poll. I'm surprised by how many high stakes players there are around here.

Found some of the results interesting especially that more people play limit compared to NL in cash games. I personally prefer limit but thought that most would say NL cause its cool and hip and all that other stuff. Figured most would be in the low and medium stakes like myself not any surprise there.

you can take one of those high stakes votes out and add it to medium, I play 15/30 on Stars so I checked high cause thats where they have it listed. Didn't read the original post till after I voted

I was surprised about the NL vs. Limit numbers as well. I tend to get on a kick of playing NL then will switch and play Limit for a while. I am still grinding my original $50 deposit so am definately playing low limits.

Yea the poll is a little lacking. Perhaps percentages of what type of games you play might be a good format.I play NL cash games .5-1 right now, and tournaments usually the 50+ 4 on fcp due to scheduling and at the 50 + 4 level the play is a little more predictable.I may add limit to my list of games, but for now do not know how to approach it as i understand it is it's own science.

HU is -EV no matter how good you are at these limits...the rake is killer! If you have a hankering for some limit heads up, find a heads up sitngo

I am also suprized by those results I though the majority of the play would be NL. I only play NL and PL but have not played PL in a while. I have never played limit (except in B&M casino and only a couple times.) This not because of the mysitque or coolness of NL, but that i dont think i understand limit well enough. Limit just seems to require a whole different level of thinking. For exapmle. what hands become playable in what positoins with x number of bets in the pot? Can you bet out when the flush card hits on the turn to represent the flush, or is that irrelevant, because the other guy has a pair and has the odds to check call you to the river? Stuff like that.

Now THAT's interesting. I think that if you studied both forms for 100,000+ hands you'd think differently.I started out being a tournament NL player because that's what was on TV and I wanted to be cool. :club: Once I realized I totally not cool I read some books and realized that limit, especially low limits, has a lot more obvious "right" moves because it's a more mechanical game. There's still different ways to play limit but some rules you can bend and then are some that are more concrete. It's really an ABC type game until you start playing higher limits.NL is much more complex and allows for more personalities because the right and wrong move is not clear. For example, Daniel plays much differently than T.J. but both are very respectable players.

I am sure you are probably right that if I gave limit a chance and prepared properly I would like that form of poker also. I do intend to expand my play into limit, but i think i have a lot of reading to do first. I dont want to be the donk everyone posts about for check calling the turn when i CLEARLY should have capped and check folded the river. :D Looking forward to adding both limit and Omaha to the games i play. Just need to get the nerve to leave my comfort zone.

Well if you're destroying the NL games then go with that. There's so much money to be made in NL that I'd play that more often if I thought it was better EV for me.I have plenty of respect for those who play NL cash games regularly and beat the game...unless your name is FoxwoodsPro.Speaking of him...did he really get banned?

I would be reluctant to say I was CRUSHING any game, because I am unsure of what that measure would be. But I am steadily adding to my BR with it, and feel I am beating the game.Unsure about foxwoods. he does come with a negative slant though.

If he is, he deserved it. If not, he should be.Who in their right mind goes to someone's own forum and calls them a donk.DN should have cleaned him out and taught him a lesson :club:
