sirch1 0
Well after a long stretch of winning and then an even longer stretch losing i am officially done with poker for a long long time. I really dont have the money to donk off anymore. It has been fun fcp and i will still prolly keep lurking around here and posting but i am giving up. iI know there are huge leaks in my game with teh biggest being bankroll management but i cannot play low limits, it kills me. Maybe once i graduate and get a real job i will start again only playing live games but till then i am done. Maybe it is a good thing my girlfriend hates poker anyway and now i can focus on more important things like finishing school and starting a life with my future wife. Good luck everyone i hope you do better than i did.sirch1
zimmer4141 0
If you don't have the bankroll management skills, then quitting while you are hopefully ahead a little bit is the most important thing.

Swift_Psycho 1
Good luck man. It's never bad to admit that maybe (at least for now) poker just isn't your thing. A lot of people don't have that much courage.

BreadWinner 0
Good luck man. Just walk away from it for a few months. I did it last year. I quit cold turkey for about 2 months straight. It was the best thing I ever did. I didn't even watch poker on TV. Now my head is now clear and I've honestly played my best poker since December of last year. One key for me to help with my bankroll management when I returned from my break was to ONLY play LIVE. That way I simply brought only the money I was willing to loose for the night.Good luck.

DudeSurprise 0
You mean moving from 2/4 and 5/10 up to 30/60 in a couple months was a bad idea?I'm going to continue out playing you in our 3 handed donk fests because I know you can't resist going in with the worst hand. BreadWinner 0
For the record, that's really not bankroll management.Oh, and best of luck Sirch.I know it isn't but when you play online you typically have ALL of your money available at a few mouse clicks away. If you only bring xxx amount of dollars with you LIVE you are LESS inclined to rebuy in if you loose everything you brought with you. It's just something that has worked for me. FourFlusher 0
I understand your frustration with low limit, it blows. If you get stuck, you're stuck. Huge grind to get back to even, let alone ahead. If you think hanging around with your girlfriend and starting a life is more important than staring at a computer screen endlessly and pissing away money while not having much fun, well...alls I can say is more power to ya...I think it's the right choice. Dratj 0
I'm pretty sure you'll get back into in a few months once you've cleared your head and have a little money to play with. In the meanwhile, enjoy your break. I'm sure most of us here have thought of quitting one time or another when we are running bad.
