New Busch Stadium

Recommended Posts

Mulder gives Cards Win in Busch Opener The stadium looks beautiful on television. I will be making the short trip to St. Louis on Thursday to see the new digs. I will try to post photos of it on here.
Thanks I would like to see them. I want to head there this season if I don't end up making a trip to the Texas or Florida stadiums

It looked pretty nice from the shots they had on ESPN's front page earlier today. Simplistic, yet very good looking.

I'll be checking it out in May, can't wait. I didn't get to watch much of it. I was hoping it would rain and delay the game a couple of hours so I could watch a little more.

I just got home and we were treated with a hell of a game. Our seats were three rows up from the field right next to the Brewer's bullpen. I was able to get a batting practice ball and decided to be nice and gave it to a little kid. The Brewers won the game in the 11th on a Carlos Lee homerun. Speaking of Lee, he saved the game in the bottom of the 9th when he robbed Edmonds of a game winning homerun directly in front of us. The stadium still isn't 100% complete yet, but it still is gorgeous. Here are a few pics from the game.picture0078qv.jpgpicture0097nd.jpgpicture0253qs.jpgfirst pitch of the gamepicture0297pt.jpgnew digital scoreboardpicture0227ra.jpgI think the marquee says it all..."Welcome to Baseball Heaven"

Beautiful pictures, beautiful park. Thanks man.I hate going to games at the Skydome/Rogers Centre. With the roof closed, it's like they're playing in an underground parking lot. With it open, it's like they're playing in a parking lot. A new stadium with an outdoor atmosphere would do wonders.Plus, I miss doubleheaders.

I know what you mean about the underground parking lot thing...I have seen Rams games in that damn Edward Jones Dome...I really wish they built an open air stadium for the Rams instead of adding a dome onto America's Center to use as an expo hall.

How can you have a cubs pic in your sig and say anything good about the cardinals :D
My dad was a Cardinal fan, and my mom is a Cub fan so I was brought up on both teams. I grew up in southern Illinois only about 90 minutes from St. Louis (I live 5 hours from Chicago) so every single game I saw growing up was at Busch Stadium. I to this day still haven't seen a game at Wrigley although I have seen a game at Comiskey/U.S. Cellular Field. I really can't explain why I am a Cub fan...I just am. After I graduated college I moved to St. Louis, and while I was there the Cardinals grew on me a little. I am a die hard fan of both the Blues and the Rams, but I'm a Cubs fan...figure that out. To be honest I can't give you a perfect answer as to why I am a Cubs fan. If I had to venture a guess it's because everyone in my family, except my dad and one of my cousins, are Cubs fans. :club:
