Just b/c of their start...you probably should've put the Tigers on there.....just to see if anyone votes for them. Btw...Indians are winning it all.
I was going to put the royals just for you.. :club:

Lol....we're better...but not quite that good. For next year's list we can be on there though..we'll be about a .500 team next year..maybe even better.

I think adding Reggies Sanders will help Sweeney.. gah Sweeney kills us every year...

That is definitely Reggie's most valuable aspect of our team. He is a pretty good hitter in his own right..but now teams are finally gonna have to start pitching a little more to Sweeney in big spots. Him and Grudzielanek were both very good pickups for the short term..until some prospects are ready to take their spot in a year or two.

Voted for the A's too.I'll look for the Diamondbacks on the list...next year, maybe. They'll at least contend for the NL West next year.

The Cubs? Seriously? can't believe they're keeping up with other teams.
Didn't you guys just get swept by them Cubs?? Lol....Cardinals aren't as good as last year, IMO...and their bullpen seems awfully shaky. They are favorites in their division...but I think it'll be a much closer race and the Cards could even get beaten in that race. Edmonds is declining too, by the way...so I can see that being a problem for them as well. They'll win their share of games thanks to Pujols and Carpenter and Rolen....but I don't think they're nearly as solid as last year. If Cubs get good pitching...I think they can stay with the Cards this year.

That's really the end of the topic. Anyway, the question isn't can they overtake the Cardinals in the division, the question is can they win the World Series. Unless Prior/Wood are miraculously healthy this year, it isn't happening.

No, I don't think the Cubs are World Series bound, that isn't what I meant, I was just saying I think they got a bit better and the Cards got a bit worse, so it will be a closer race in the NL Central. That's all I was really saying.

I'm a Cubs fan, but they will be damn lucky to finish third in their division. I think the Cards, Brewers and Astros are all better than them. The White Sox are the best team in baseball and have the depth to work out a trade at the deadline for a center fielder. Perhaps even Juan Pierre? Pierre, Pods, Konerko, Thome, Dye...scary with their pitching.

I don't think they will be trading for a CF...I think they are pretty high on Brian Anderson right now....yeah, his numbers aren't good right now....but I think they are going to stick with him....and if they DID want to trade for a CF....I don't think they'll be going after Pierre.....he hasn't been good since 2004....I don't see the ChiSox making any major deadline deals unless they have some injuries on the pitching staff/bullpen....

The other thing about going after Pierre is that there's no way the White Sox are going to make a trade with the Cubs.
yeah that's a good point. Cubs should feel bad after that Garland for Karchner deal... To go along w/ what Koop said, yes people here know B. Anderson can hit but it is just a matter of time. He is already very good defensively so when his bat comes in it will just be an added bonus.

I know Ozzie will stick with Anderson, but you have to woory about his confidence. Clearly, the Pierre thing is a LONG shot, but I wouldn't be shocked to see the Sox go after another OF. If not for such a rivalry,Torii Hunter would be nice.
