Yeah, until they get some players over there and slowly phase it in.Why would they want players if they dont make money from it? Think about it.

They're not in business to "cover the cost".

Someone tried to start a thread about this here a few days ago, and of course some of our genius residents started with the spam yells and I think it got deleted. 2+2 already has like a hundred page thread on this subject. The site's legit, and has been one of the first and most respected online gambling sites around. Their president is the only guy to come back to America to face a trial for running the site, and was cleared of charges because of a law that basically says that if Americans can make money from gambling, then other countries can too (I believe it's a wto law? more info at 2+2).Basically there is a rake collected, and then at the end of the week they deposit it into your account. They can do this because of the huge amount of money they make on their casino games, and sports betting, and I guess they hope the poker players will chase their losses at the blackjack table or making a bet.Bad thing is that no one really played their site before (poker wise), and now it's just filled with 2+2 tags who don't wanna pay rake.

wait so rake is collected and kept in their accounts till the end of the week then redistributed? if so that's how they make their money...INTEREST!! could you imagine what the interest would be on a week of rake on a moderatly busy site?

It's still essentially rake free or more like 100% rakeback I guess. Kinda cool if it suddenly happened on Party or Stars or Fulltilt, but I think the average fishy player likes to see bonuses more than rakeback, and the better players see that rakeback as a great thing, so little known poker site+ decent players = not gonna be so great.

Hmm..Kinda. You said they weren't there to cover the costs--so you're right there. But, you also said they'd slowly phase it in--so you were wrong there. I'll give you a B- for the fact you didn't blindly decide to sign up and took a critical eye to it. Keep up the good work.BTW, Luv4thedeuce? What happened to RedPill's forum? Why're you back here slumming with us?

There's a thread in the Online Poker forum where Custom talked to one of their representatives about how it actually works, and that they don't have any plans for changing their rakeback policy anytime in the future.- Zach

Well, there have actually been about 1000 threads created about this in the last week, but I was just referring to some info that hasn't made it out of that forum.- Zach

rakeback has now been paid to many accounts for last week. This followed a slight delay(less than 24hrs). The games are fairly tight due to the many 2+2er's there, but it's up to you whether you can make the 100% rakeback pay for that.If they can advertise this and get some fish in there, this will be very good.
