MasterLJ 0
random question, what about the people who get DUI's and there broke? how do they pay these thousands of dollars?Jlolololol.I'm not so mean as to laugh at your misfortune for the DUI, but I'm just laughing at the fact that you've been caught in countless lies about your financial status and your ability to play professionally."So my friends... FoxswoodPr... I mean...FoxwoodBob 'might' be broke. How is he to pay the DUI?"I'm further floored that you share this event with a board of people that don't take too kindly to your spewings of "Ur teh DAWNK," in a multitude of forums. It's as if Osama Bin Laden were to go to the Pope... "You see Pope, there's this girl... she won't give me no action. What do I do?"Pure comedy.

mx957 0
Ok, my 2 cents on this thread....I don't know you but from previous threads and the tone in this thread....I still see you as a cocky little SOB that really hasn't learned much. You really don't sound that remorseful to me. If you had really felt ashamed of what you had done and remorseful about it...you wouldn't be asking 1) how much will this hit my bankroll and oh by the way I was on the way to bang this chick. You would have told us how depressed you were and that you were looking for a way to turn this totally bad situation around. All I hear in this thread is yeah I screwed up so i'll lay low for a while and wait till it blows over.

wilheldp 0
Here's some food for thought for all you "decision makers" out there. It doesn't matter if you drive drunk, ride with somebody who is drunk, take a taxi, ride a bike, or walk home when you are drunk, you are still breaking the law. The only technically legal way to get drunk is when you are over 21, drinking in a private residence (either your own, or somewhere that you are welcome), and you never step foot outside. Getting drunk in a bar is technically public intoxication, and so is walking or riding a bike home.Don't get me wrong. I have done all of the above listed things. I'm just giving you guys a warning that a DUI isn't the only possible offense for which you can be arrested when you are out drinking with your buddies. I actually saw a news article not too long ago about undercover cops hanging out at bars and arresting people who were drunk. They were in a public area, and were intoxicated, so they got slapped with public intox charges.
looshle 6
You're a ****ing moron and this marks it in stone. I hope the fee is high and you get the max penalty. You actually might have subconciously hit the car on purpose so you wouldn't have to deal with rejection and/or realize that you weren't getting laid.
StrippersNBlow 0
I think it's funny how everyone is coddling this guy. He bashes anyone and everyone he comes in contact with here, and at the tables. All of a sudden it's, "Learn from your mistakes buddy. Everyone makes mistakes. Live and learn. You'll be a better person because of this." The only thing that surprises me about this is that it's his first one. Like he said, he's bigger than life, indestructable, he plays by his own rules. There was no way things weren't going to end badly for him. The DUI is just how it came to fruition. I seriously doubt one DUI will be the turning point for him. Basically all the first one comes down to is money, and spending money doesn't seem to be an issue to him, just having it and making more. I'm not even going to bother laughing about him about this. The next one will be hilarious though. Contemplating jail time will cause you to reflect a bit more than forking out 3K. Here's hoping you get hit by a drunk bus driver you tool. Not sure if you read my reply on page 2 or 3 of this thread.I think it's funny how everyone is coddling this guy.I don't know him. In any case he hasn't done wrong to me, so have to take that into consideration. But you are right..the title and comments lead me to believe this guy is a ****** bag. With my experience of a close friend getting run down, I hope he gets a max in whatever sentencing he may receive.I won't say goodluck...just good ridden!

Police are a very necessary part of our society, but when they waste their time arresting people for drinking in a bar or walking home instead of driving drunk, you know the power has gone to their heads. They might as well be telling people that it doesn't matter where you drink, we will still arrest you, so you might as well drive drunk and get their faster. Just terrible. This is way I can't stand cops.
Farnan 0
Getting drunk in a bar is technically public intoxication, and so is walking or riding a bike home. You can actually get a DWI/DUI while riding a bike drunk--depending on the state you're in.
Balloon guy 158
If it was me or my family in the car you wouldn't be worrying about any of this.If you can't pay the fine you will go to jail.Try to find the biggest husband you can so they don't trade you for a pack of smokes. Hope they don't bust out your front teeth to protect their 'investments' It's almost disgusting. Just terrible. This is way I can't stand cops. Here's a thought. If you want to get drunk, stay home.We all hate cops when we're young and the cause of the problems, When you get older and are the recipient of people being stupid, you will like cops. When I stopped getting stoned, wearing concert shirts and cut my hair, cops left me alone. It was like they profile losers or something
InertGrudge 0
Im not making excuses, forget about driving drunk. But making your living taking other peoples money, winning hundreds of dollars in a few hours do have some psychological effects after awhile. You feel untouchable, you live by no rules, you run your life the way you want to run it. Now of course this is wrong and I can see that but this is how I live my life. Reckless . just reckless, and I do hope this is a wake up call.JFor the record, I think this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read from you, which is really saying something. It shouldn't have psychological effects. You need to keep things in perspective. You obviously cannot if you somehow equate being a poker player to being completely crazy/drunken/stupid in the rest of your life outside the tables. You are why people have a negative image of poker players. thrillsoft 0
You can actually get a DWI/DUI while riding a bike drunk--depending on the state you're in. You can get a DUI riding a horse drunk (even if the horse is sober ), riding a skateboard, bicycle, any conveyance. Yes, it has happened. People have gotten DUI's for all of these offenses. DB10-2 0
Thank you sir it was .17anyone know how much an OUI will cost me if I plea down to that, also do you really think itll be a good idea to start classes now? I should def talk to my lawyer bout that. Jwith .17 BAC and having caused property damage you're likely not pleading down to anything. hire a lawyer, because if what you say is true, you're in deep ****.

If i'm at a bar with a .20 BAC, but not a clear danger to myself or anyone else, they can't arrest me. If I'm there with a BAC of .08 and I'm stumbling all over the place, I can be arrested. At least, that's the case in Texas... which is where the undercover cops incident that you speak of occurred.
