anselm 0
If you were to let someone play on your poker account and they hit the money in a tourney, what's the traditional way to split the profits? 50/50? 60/40 in my favor because I put up the buy-in? I've never really staked anyone before for serious cash so was wondering what sort of standards there were or what other people have done in the past.

hank213 1,823
I'd say 50/50 minus the buy-in for the friend. Also, I'd work out the arrangement in advance next time.

No_Neck 0
don't let your friends play on your account. they may not be your friends afterwordsnot only that, the site might lock your account if you login from Texas as well as Chicago or whatever.
SunDrop 0
don't let your friends play on your account. they may not be your friends afterwordsLike when they lose 20% of your bankroll while they are so drunk they are barely able to stand and you have been gone for only a couple hours and on the way home say to yourself "Crap, I shouldn't have my password automatically entered, wouldn't it suck if he lost me a bunch of money...hahahahaha." And then I got home and it was all true. But I've also taken a friend's player's club points and turned them into a good amount for a starting bankroll. But really, its so much easier to keep track of if you are the only one using your account. If you let a friend play, you have to track his/her results individually from your own, and that's just a pain in the ***.
WhiteSpade 0
not only that, the site might lock your account if you login from Texas as well as Chicago or whatever. What do you mean by this? Do you you mean if you're logged in from one state and somebody else tries to login from another at the same time? Or even at different times?

No_Neck 0
I had my account frozen because I let me brother play and we were rather far appart. just tell the dude to get his own account and then you can transfer him money. Much easier.
Abbaddabba 0
50/50 is great if you're looking to get completely ripped off.

Much easier.I've zig-zagged across Canada numerous times without any problems. In the summer time it's strange for me to log in from the same place or within 500 miles for more than 2 weeks at a time.
