mrdannyg 274
keep in mind that while it looks obvious that the guy timed out purpose, are u 100% sure? sometimes internet goes out at inopportune times. the internet needs to inlcude the allin protect and timers at least once or so to help those honestly momentarily disconnect but then come back.of course its possible, but seems like a coincidence that he does it at the perfect moment, and is back for the next hand. that kind of thing happens often though - far too often to be coincidental. srblan 0
This is pretty sickening. Why bother waiting for bugs to fall in your lap, why not try to figure out a way to cheat people out of their money by stealing their passwords or some other scam. Why not try to find the bug in the software to exploit for profit? Heck, why use the computer to take their money at all, why not set up a phony magazine so you can get player addresses and just go rob their houses?
WonderfulSplash 0
all I have to say is this:yes [ 44 ] [61.97%] no [ 27 ] [38.03%] That is some pretty distorted logic you have. What does this poll prove? That people should jump at the chance to blatantly steal from others as long as they wont get caught? It's sick that you say you have a great life and family, which I guess isn't enough for you, so you would become a lowlife criminal in order to have some more cash.

This poll is possibly a good indicator of why poker has taken so long to be mainstream accepted. Even w/ the t.v. explosion the last few years, the mainstream/corporations are still hesitant to offer big endorsements/sponsorships like other mainstream competitive events. If 60% of the ppl that voted for this poll think that cheating is fine, then these 60% are scumbags.

finztotheleft 0
Depends on the bug and what i have to do to exploit it. Picture an extreme end:Whenever you play at a table, you can click on a player and see his hole cards at any point. You didnt install anything. You just happened to download a client that had a weird bug in it. How many of you resist? Few.Then suppose it requires you to come up with some elaborate scheme by installing a program and sending a trojan to other players to view their moniter from a standby computer at your side. How many people would do that? Probably not many. The same degree of damage is done. But obviously the situations are not identical.Great example, because I was going to ask OP to define "bug". Not to sound to sound like a total schmuck, but example A.....yes, I would take my time before I moved tables, example B....never in a million years.Another poster wrote that we could all be on the phone with friends colluding. It would be simple, but I would never do that.I did not get poker tracker for a long time, because it seemed like an unfair advantage and would distract from the "true test of skill" aspect of the game. Then I decided....everyone else either has it or has access to it. I can live with that. For the OP.....depends on the example and the morals of each player, but do not presume that everyone would do something.
ChuckSty 0
yeah i think i would.
belatropic 0
it depends. there are many edges that you can expliot that are legal. for examble on party rebuys if you move in you can rebuy right then, but on starts you cant do that. i was actually worried about it and thought it was illegal so i called party and said hey is this ok to do. they assured me that it was. so in party rebuys i do this a lot and most of the time half the table has no idea that it is going onbut if the bug was unfair and against the rules of the game i would not do it. i beleive in a think called character and i like mine and wouldnt want to ruin it by cheating.I called Party & told them about the "All in-Rebuy" quirk & Samarithavigova told me it was part of the software. I then spoke with a manager & she confirmed the rule. Just a stupid rule (software) when the rules say no rebuys above 1500 chips. Kind of funny watching everybody do it though as you can keep calling these people's all ins with less than premium hands. They do the rebuying ($33 a pop) & you do the stealing from them. FIREonICE 0
I close my case:yes [ 65 ] [61.32%] no [ 41 ] [38.68%]
dscoot 0
I close my case:yes [ 65 ] [61.32%] no [ 41 ] [38.68%] perhaps u have a bug to fix the votes too.
mrdannyg 274
I close my case:yes [ 65 ] [61.32%] no [ 41 ] [38.68%] that means nothing. morality is not relative, and this question is far too inexact to test morality.what are you trying to prove, that cheating is ok because most of us would do it? all this poll proves is that 60% of about 100 people on FCP are scumbags.
