KVOM 0
You have a big draw - nut flush and nut low. My style would be to call, since villain seems pot-committed, but I wouldn't object to a repot either.
gaddyjr 0
The problem I have with this hand is that the villain will often have A2 in his hand as well. Therefore, the only way you are going to make any money is if you can hit a diamond.B/c the villain only has about $36 left after his bet, I don't see him folding to a repot, and I would rather not get it all-in with a draw. I think that a call would be ok, but unless you hit a diamond on the turn, you really have no idea where you are, and will likely be faced with a $36 bet. Even if you call and make your nut-low on the turn (with no diamond), I would still be very worried about getting 1/4ed.For those reason, I don't at all mind a fold
JacKingOff_suit 0
call.
Chamonyx 0
Repot here. If a diamond comes, you don't want him able to get away from his hand, so you would like to get him all-in, just hoping he doesn't have AwKK.
NocturnalRob 0
Repot here. If a diamond comes, you don't want him able to get away from his hand, so you would like to get him all-in, just hoping he doesn't have AwKK.which is why you call. if you miss your diamonds (even if the low comes), you're probably getting quartered. JacKingOff_suit 0
I just revisited the hand, since villain's stack is so short there's no implied odds here so I don't mind a fold at all.Anyway I think a call is better than a raise here.
cubbybri 0
Rookie comment.I originally thought repot and put the pressure on him.Didn't look at his stack situation on this hand though or the fact player is doing this with an A2 as well.More wanted to say thanks for all the help from the advice in this column. No reads again. I may have to fold now.Again rookie comment.
moneytoburn 0
Repot. I don't see a case for calling. Are you really considering to call the $20 on the flop and check/fold for $36 on the turn if unimproved? I think the best order of lines would be 1.) repot 2.) fold 3.) call
navybuttons 15
there is no wrong choice. however, if you are going to fold here what kind of flop were you looking to get when you called preflop? personally i re-pot. i think we are still ahead here (i put him on A-2-3) and I'll pay $56 to find out. Chamonyx 0
which is why you call. if you miss your diamonds (even if the low comes), you're probably getting quartered. If you are 65:35 when the money goes in, then sometimes you are going to end up with the 35.....that's poker. Pushing big edges is what this game is about. You are 60:40 behind A2setabout 55:45 behind A2Kxabout 50:50 with AA23 (!!!!!!)about 65:35 ahead of everything else that he is likely to haveI am a big believer in putting in the big bets on the later streets in PLO8. However there are exceptions and this is about as clear a one as it gets.
