if you have not deposited yet go through these guys, www.instantbankroll.com you will get more money to play with, then I would say grind out 5 dollar sit and goes.

Take some chances and play out of your bankroll. That's what I always used to do. Seriously, you'll get a bunch of advice telling you to play $0.05-$0.10, but $50 isn't that much money, and if you go broke you can just deposit again. With a little bankroll you can afford to take some big risks, and hope it pays off. Start off with some $25 nl, and hope to win. If you go broke you can always just deposit another $50.

Try a free money site.. I would say definetly don't start w/ PartyPoker if you only have $50. The lowest table is $25 buyin. I would say, go to PokerStars. The players are better overall, but at the low limits they're still not good. They have micro limits and you can move up that way.

so, by that rationale, you had more than a $50 bankroll... :bubble_lol:You will learn more by playing SNG's than any other way, and it is the least expensive way to learn...

Turd.. I would agree, but he said he's a broke college student.. and doesn't have $50 after $50 to risk.. Therefore, he can't risk it. Needs to play lower and just try to do what he can. At least he'll be able to play.. and not possibly go broke on a bad beat within an hour.

When I started I could afford to donk off $50 every week or two, but I didn't want to risk more than that at a time.

Here comes shinychicken in 3...2...1....Seriously, what has worked best for you. Low limit grinding is no fun. SNG's cna go on a cold streak for you as well. Observe your opponents, know when your Aces or Kings have been cracked and be able to let them go.Good luck.

I already deposited 50 into a pokerstars account, so i cant do instantbankroll.com. And i am a broke student. so i need this 50 to last. if i play micro limit cash games, what would be considered a productive day. i just dont know what to aim for, should i play until i double my buy in? im not too sure as what i can expect, but im going to give it a shot :club:

I operated under this assumption for 2 years. $1500 worth of "just deposit another $50"...Stick the $50 in a savings account, add $50 at a time when you can afford it. When you're up to $500 or so, make a big deposit on a big site and play the limits you want to (don't go above 3/6 limit or $100 NL). People posting about building a bankroll don't want to hear "grind the .05/.10 tables for a year to get up to $1000". At least I know *I* didn't want to do that.

Just have fun, play good poker and see what happens. Don't put numbers on anything. The players at those limits are basically just having fun and playing anything, so your gonna take some beats. Just do the best you can, have fun..What's your account name, maybe I'll get bored and come play some.. You said PokerStars right?

You couldn't build it up after 30 tries? It's a good thing you stopped playing onlne.

Yeah, best move I ever made quitting that money pit. The bottom line is probably more than that, but I divebombed my Neteller account so I can't actually total it all up. Probably better that way. My biggest problem was always trying to move up too quickly or to recoup losses faster. Playing 5/10 limit or $100 SNG's on a $300 bankroll is about the quickest way to chew through your bankroll.

If you learn to multi-table it shouldn't take a year to turn $50 into $1000. I kept losing and finally decided to play within my bankroll about 6 months ago. Started with $50 and now have $600 , and I was without a computer for 2 and a half months so it was really like 3 and a half months. It's boring but it's worth it because it teaches you discipline. Don't listen to anyone that tells you to take shots at higher levels, you will go broke. If

Where is TP/MM?Seriously, it depends on your skill set, what have you played up to now and what you feel comfortable with.If it were me, I would buyin to $5 MTT's. Play super tight the first hour (play only AA,KK,QQ and AK), and you will cash in one fairly soon early. Browse through the Tournament section to get some tips. One big score will jump start your bankroll to somewhere cool. Plus it takes several hours to get to the final table, so you get great value (expierence) for you buy in.

You're right. Play within your bankroll. Grind it out for the next two years playing $0.05-$0.10. It's worth it.
Everyone starts somewhere everyone isn't as rich as you. He says he's a broke college student so he definitely shouldn't play out of his bankroll cause he has little money to redeposit. What do you mean my worth it anyways? I don't think he has asparations of becomming a millionare via poker.

Thanks for all the advice. I i just enjoy playing poker. Ive played play money for quite sometime and enjoyed it. I dont have aspirations of becoming rich from online poker, i just enjoy playing poker in general. I had 50 dollars to spare, and want to build to it up. I love playing poker, and thought why not try to make alittle extra cash. I know it will take awhile, but i think the thought of playing with real money even though it small will help improve my game. By the way my user name is skinny_96 at partypoker (i worte pokerstars before by mistake)I choose party poker cause i heard it has one of the softest low limit tables

Since you're in college just stop drinking for a month. You'll have another $150-200 dollars to add to your role.
FYPalthough i dont advise this, keep drinking, its fun.
